Could Barack Obama run as VP? Not sure what the law is. |

Kamala just helped him raise $3.5M.
She is smart and can fire people up. My money is on Kamala. |
No. He is not eligible to be president. And, everyone knows that whoever Biden picks has to be ready to pick up that mantle. |
As much as I want to see Trump defeated, I have no enthusiasm for voter outreach for an all white democratic ticket. Black women have been bailing out the Democratic party and we didn't get a candidate worth fighting for. We've reluctantly accepted status quo Biden (old, white, senile, male) as the candidate to potentially beat Trump, but we won't accept a white female as his VP. |
|
Then you should work to get more black females elected as governors and senators so that there is a larger bench to choose from next time. We haven’t even had a female VP of any color, the insistence on a specific color for this specific election is boggling to me. |
I want someone younger, someone smart and with governing experience.
I would love to see Deval Patrick (former Governor of Massachusetts and super smart) on the ticket |
The Black community handpicked Joe Biden. Why didn't they support Kamala Harris? |
She dropped out early, before any of the primaries where AA's were a large percentage of voters. |
They didn't support her in any of the early polling either. |
Because some folks thought she was wasn't black enough. We are our own worst enemy. |
The analysis I've heard is the opposite - that black voters' top priority was getting Trump out, and they were looking for the safest nominee to achieving that end. They thought white Americans would be more likely to vote for Biden than for a black candidate. (Not to mention that Biden has decades of building relationships in black communities, so he's a known factor, not a hypothetical.) |
