Yes, it is fascinating that New Orleans is reporting ZERO deaths since this is how it did look on February 25. That is truly amazing. Feb. 25, 2020, file photo, Bourbon Street is a sea of humanity on Mardi Gras day in New Orleans. In the city here, the old saying “Let the good times roll” has given way to a new municipal maxim: “Wash your hands.” A month ago the city was awash in people and steeped in its annual tradition of communal joy — the Mardi Gras season. |
Dem here as well. I actually supported shutting things down early on. But, the data no longer supports it. Florida/Georgia/Louisiana, etc are starting to gain a lot of positive press that the media will start paying attention rather than hear another sob story from Chris Cuomo, highlighting the doom and gloom of it all. |

This is BS. And also not “uplifting or hopeful news”. |
How many of those people live in New Orleans? |
I'm a Democrat and a new Yorker.... It's all really confusing to me ( cuomos policy), since we have seemingly flattened the curve, and hospitals are no longer overwhelmed. but on the bright side the number of hospital admissions and intubations has fallen drastically...! My neighborhood was a real Hotspot and I thankfully barely hear ambulance sirens anymore (at one point it was several times an hour) |
Yes it certainly is beginning to feel that way. I'm getting so exhausted from it, tbh |
All of them. |
New Zeland is doing FANTASTIC!
Down to only 52 cases recovering. ![]() |
Just a friendly reminder:
This thread is titled: Coronavirus good Uplifting and hopeful news only

Doctors say CDC-backed treatment for kids with inflammatory syndrome linked to coronavirus is ‘highly effective’ "The organization noted that a direct link between coronavirus and MIS-C has not been drawn but that “many children with MIS-C had the virus that causes COVID-19, or had been around someone with COVID-19.” The syndrome has proven deadly in at least a handful of cases, but in the most promising news thus far, the CDC revealed this week that doctors have found a treatment — one that’s not only lessening symptoms, but allowing kids to leave the hospital feeling back to normal. The drug is what’s known as intravenous immunoglobulin or IVIG, a collection of antibodies that help fight inflammation. To find out more about this treatment, Yahoo Life spoke with two pediatric experts currently immersed in the crisis." Also, to the person who felt the need to write a facetious post about their hangnail "good news"... Why taint this thread with silliness? We have 100+ pages of positive and encouraging news, but you felt the need to make a mockery out of all our efforts to keep this uplifting? |
Georgia has fewer than 1,000 people hospitalized in the state, a 38% drop since May 1.

LOL, no. It’s Bourbon Street on Mardi Gras. I bet less than 10% actually live in New Orleans. |
