Just to clarify, OP. You saw Uncle J's FB page and you still didn't know the guy you were calling isn't the one you met. Also, there is definitely a recurring theme of: I haven't seen/talked to him in years. Sounds like eBF and family have been ostracized from the family in general.

So...the person with the Iraq email address really has no way of verifying that you are real.

I find it HIGHLY suspicious that there is no real evidence (other than a Facebook account) of a young man with NO discernible internet presence.

In defense of the OP: my husband has 3 aunts and 2 uncles. I've met 2 or the aunts and 1 of the uncles and I have no idea how to get in touch with them directly. I don't have their phone numbers and they're not on Facebook and I don't have email addresses. I could probably find this information online somewhere, but it's not completely outside the realm of possibility that the OP met some of Bobcat Boyfriend's relatives and did not immediately commit their phone numbers, addresses, etc. to memory.

My dad and stepmother have a marker board in the kitchen with all the kids phone numbers on it. In addition, a piece of paper is hanging in the kitchen with all the kids names, numbers, and addresses (as well as others in the extended family).

If he icon on your page goes from friend request sent to add friend, you know they saw it and denied it.
