He raped a five year old.

He raped his sister.

I can’t. Even.

Michelle and Jim Bob need to be charged with negligence. The statute of limitations needs to change and Josh should be charged with rape. (Not that he will be…. But his sentence, if there is a god, should be the longest. 40 years. Min.)

what? where is this info at?

Nowhere. He didn't "rape a five year old".Would rather not link (it's still gross to read, difficult to get through) but the Josh Duggar Wikipedia entries gives a breakdown of his past incidents etc.

He admitted to digitally penetrating her.

Ew, she should be a part of derrick’s family and he is going to give her permission to leave Josh? She is a grown ass woman. No, I don’t think derrick should “adopt” a grown woman and her children. She is going to need to put her big girl pants on and be an adult and a mother- not wait for some man to save her.

Again, SHE WAS RAISED IN A CULT. She believes she needs permission, even though of course she does not. I didn't suggest Derick should adopt her, just that he and Jill can remind her that she DOES have family that will support her and her children if she broke away from the Duggars and Kellers.

On the other hand, he allegedly said that he blames Jill for lying and blowing it out of proportion. Amazing how he only remembers that much.

Apparently Jason called out his dad on this, though.

It speaks volumes that the Duggar family has not put out a statement at all. I think they really do believe they're above the law.

They did. Yesterday

Jill's statement was better. https://www.dillardfamily.com/2021/12/dillard-family-statement-on-josh-duggar-verdict-today/

Glad to see that she ha distanced herself from her family.

Being raised in a cult and choosing to live by the cult tenants as an adult as you raise YOUR children in a cult while living in a free democracy is no excuse.

I loved this passage from People magazine:
“ Josh grew visibly distraught as he and Anna, 33, spoke — his eyes tightening and face crumpling, though his mouth was covered with a mask — before he was taken out of the courtroom.”

This makes me happy.

Do you have any idea what is involved in that cult?

From someone I know who lived it:

- mental abuse
- physical abuse
- neglect
- brainwashing
- manipulation
- threats

Girls are raised to be submissive to their "master." Until marriage, that is their father.

Questioning the master results in punishment. She might be beaten, maybe isolated in a dark place for a period of time. Usually denied food. This person's father liked the Jayne Eyre era of punishment which was to stand on a chair for hours.

They are denied access to anything close to an education. It might encourage them to seek more knowledge. As long as they can read the bible it's all good.

They blanket train BABIES.

Anna doesn't believe she has a biblical right to leave.... human opinions don't matter. Ole JB will ne busy reminding her that she's nothing without het husband

It seems most if the Duggar girls can somewhat think for themselves. Anna's upbringing was likely far more strict.

Link to Jason calling out Jim Boob for lying? All I see is articles about him smirking and giggling with Josh in court.

It’s so much more than just growing up in a strict Christian home. They are a whole other beast, a cult. I hope that one day she is able to be freed from the cult.

+1

I said above I still feel a little sorry for Anna and I stand by that. Everyone in a cult is beat down to an extent, but girls and women are raised to think of themselves as less than people. Just because some women are able to grow up and see a way out does not mean that every woman who is raised this way - to think of herself as just a helpmeet, too stupid to function alone - can get out.

Look at all the women in regular patriarchal culture who have absolutely zero problems voting away their own bodily integrity via forced birth politicians, who literally take on their husband’s name in marriage, who do 90% of the childcare and kin relations… how many of you can say you buck that system?

Of course I'm celebrating a pedophile being put in jail. He should be sent to juvenile detention when he was abusing his sisters from ages 12-15.

Justice delayed now served.

Seriously. His own kids losing their father for a long time is not "sad," it's WONDERFUL, because their father is a PEDOPHILE.

JFC.

This. FFS.

Thats not what I meant - What i mean is they lost a father whether or not he got convicted. Intstead of having a non-abusive, supportive dad they have a pedophile for a dad.

Yeah. There's everything I listed, and so much more. The damage it does. Unbelievable. Most women and children are abused. If punishing the wife isn't enough, they will punish her children for what Mom said or did. Or didn't. Boys are raised to be "strong leaders", and they better be able to keep their wife in line.

I'm not disputing that, I agree. PP stated that the Duggar family had not put out a statement at all, so I was just correcting her that they did.

I'm no fan of hers, but this sort of makes me worry about her safety. Are they going to blame her for this? For what HE did??

That makes sense, I think Jed is one of Jills “buddies” from the buddy system and they have remained close. I think it’s Jed at least.
