Ew, she should be a part of derrick’s family and he is going to give her permission to leave Josh? She is a grown ass woman. No, I don’t think derrick should “adopt” a grown woman and her children. She is going to need to put her big girl pants on and be an adult and a mother- not wait for some man to save her.
Again, SHE WAS RAISED IN A CULT. She believes she needs permission, even though of course she does not. I didn't suggest Derick should adopt her, just that he and Jill can remind her that she DOES have family that will support her and her children if she broke away from the Duggars and Kellers.
Being raised in a cult and choosing to live by the cult tenants as an adult as you raise YOUR children in a cult while living in a free democracy is no excuse.
Do you have any idea what is involved in that cult? From someone I know who lived it: - mental abuse - physical abuse - neglect - brainwashing - manipulation - threats Girls are raised to be submissive to their "master." Until marriage, that is their father. Questioning the master results in punishment. She might be beaten, maybe isolated in a dark place for a period of time. Usually denied food. This person's father liked the Jayne Eyre era of punishment which was to stand on a chair for hours. They are denied access to anything close to an education. It might encourage them to seek more knowledge. As long as they can read the bible it's all good. They blanket train BABIES. Anna doesn't believe she has a biblical right to leave.... human opinions don't matter. Ole JB will ne busy reminding her that she's nothing without het husband It seems most if the Duggar girls can somewhat think for themselves. Anna's upbringing was likely far more strict.
It’s so much more than just growing up in a strict Christian home. They are a whole other beast, a cult. I hope that one day she is able to be freed from the cult.
Yeah. There's everything I listed, and so much more. The damage it does. Unbelievable. Most women and children are abused. If punishing the wife isn't enough, they will punish her children for what Mom said or did. Or didn't. Boys are raised to be "strong leaders", and they better be able to keep their wife in line.
I'm no fan of hers, but this sort of makes me worry about her safety. Are they going to blame her for this? For what HE did??
