Anna gets ZERO sympathy from me. That she allowed that monster around her kids is truly unforgivable. She should be in a prison cell as well.

Exactly this- except she did try to stop it by installing “covenant eyes” or some software to keep Josh from doing this. That’s where and why the conviction fell- the fact that he somehow figured out a way to stick a Linux partition in his hard drive to work around it indicates he was fully aware and intentionally doing this. I hope that he gets more than 12-15 years, that his sentence will be the full 20 because he doesn’t seem like he can exercise sell control and will endanger his own kids if given the chance. This type of pedophilia- it’s not a disease you can cure or pray yourself out of. It’s like being schizophrenia- you will always have it.

He needs to not be allowed to be around his own kids until they are adults.

My other thing of course is that the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. And with one bad Apple there is going to be even more.

The internet scuttlebutt is that Anna still supports Josh, even though almost all of the other Duggar kids do not. One of the kids had words with Jim Bob for lying on the stand. Michelle is trying to stop people from fighting.

It sounds like emotions are high, and the family is on the verge of imploding. Some of them are tweeting about justice being served.

Josh heaped this onto the entire family. I hope he gets at least 15 years. 20 seems unlikely because he has no prior convictions.

On one hand, Jimbob said he couldn't remember the details of Josh molesting his daughters, because it was so long ago.

On the other hand, he allegedly said that he blames Jill for lying and blowing it out of proportion. Amazing how he only remembers that much.

Apparently Jason called out his dad on this, though.

+1 It really is worth a watch. I’ve been hatewatching the Duggars since the beginning with the TWOP forums, I know a lot about this stuff, and I never quite put it all together like this.

That information has been out there for over 6 years now. It came out in 2015, and that's why "19 kids and counting" was cancelled. TLC made up a new show that was supposed to just focus on the married adult children (at the time Jessa and Jill) and their spouses and children. Of course, eventually Jim Bob and Michelle and the rest of the family were appearing on it too.

I think that’s an old picture. The boy looks like Jessa’s oldest child and he’s a few years older than he is in the picture.

What difference does it make? One of them is Josh's and his youngest is 2 months and his oldest is 11.

I'm no Duggar fan, but the picture doesn't really prove anything. That's Spurgeon and Meredith, who are now 6 years old. It's a picture of two toddlers playing with Swiffers at their grandparents' house.

I continue to hope that Derick's sitting with Anna during the trial was a show of support for HER and HER KIDS, not for the Duggars. Maybe he can be the male figure for her that says it's ok to go, and gives her "permission" to leave Josh. She can still be part of Jill and Derick's family, and be a spiritually whole person.

NP, I think when there are SO many of you, you're relatively isolated from peers, and you receive the message that girls are "tempresses who will challenge your natural desires" and even within the family must serve you as a male, the family lines are blurred. I mean, regular incest isn't unheard of, but I think this can all contribute to it. And it did...
