I just went back to the page to look (I think that's not true) and now neither case that showed up before when you searched 'Virginia High School' shows up, neither does anything by the 2 case numbers mentioned above...

Now back. Looks like the monetary damages was 11/4 but the injunction 11/13

What court? I don't see any Cafferky here, but I do see he's from the expensive firm FCPS uses regularly: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/circuitcourtdocket/

$$$$$$$, but perhaps the cost analysis has been the cost of the appeals and taking this injunction forward v cost of defending what would have been multiple lawsuits from the Hayfield player families and others if FCPS had not taken this approach.

So they've decided Robinson families will be less litigious?

I can't imagine being a regular student at Hayfield, like all those kids denied senior night, with these crazy transfer families taking up all the air in the room.

Exactly. And that FCPS opened the door to football litigation, they are being short-sighted and singularly focused, which is bad combo for school system this size. They will get it back 10-fold.

Plaintiffs were initially named as Briana Hardaway and Devin Moore. I have no idea why that title was changed and I have no idea who else, if anyone, is a plaintiff.

Looks like someone is currently adding that to the system. Appears to be a bunch of players (initials for the minors) and parents. NOT FCPS, as initially reported.

Looked through and the injunction is certain of the Hayfield parents/players as the plaintiffs and all represented by the FCPS go-to outside law firm.

Good luck Hayfield!

It is FCPS go-to law firm. Who do you think is paying for it?

The parents and players. Possible that FCPS pointed them to the law firm, but I really don't think FCPS is ponying up the money for this. VFOIA could tell you, I imagine, if you care that much.

It should come out of Hayfield's budget

It is being updated in real time as while I was looking at it more names added but all rep by same counsel that FCPS typically uses. If FCPS not paying for it, maybe this can solve where the $10,000 or $29,000 or whatever it was in collected booster money went.

FCPS has plenty of money. They can afford it.

For the monetary damages case, shows the ask is >$500,000.01.

Maybe the FCPS firm took injunction case as favor to FCPS and hoping for any possible contingency fee if could win the 2nd case for damages.

Hayfield may not get into the playoffs, but they are about to sue the pants off the VHSL for this one.

Its the same pricy lawyer FCPS uses for fighting sped families.

Completely livid that money for education is being used to pay for this case.

Clearly Hayfield saw the West Va articles on injunctions and said, let’s do it!

VHSL better come prepared.
