It's one Oakton parent who keeps pumping up the program and making it seem as they are the best thing in over 20 years of pub school lacrosse. The reality is, they basically have 2 players maybe 3 that does all the scoring and real threats. Most of the better players look for each other and will not pass the ball to others as they are open. You can easily spot this trend, when my daughters team played Oakton, I witnessed first hand basically feeding coming from the left side to only 2-3 players. In the publics eye, everything is awesome with Oakton, but behind the scenes you will get the truth. When players are off the field and with others, the truth always comes out.
Not taking away from the talent level they have and not saying they aren't the favorite to win it all, but it's not all smooth sailing internally, but what program doesnt have issues. Seems like any high school aged team has some issues at some point.
First of all, why would we not hype and pump up our daughters' G-Lax program? Who would we cheer for? They all worked hard to be where they are
14-0 and how do you know about our program's behind the scenes? You claimed that your daughters' team played Oakton so you are not even an Oakton parent, so how do you know so much about Oakton? I have known these girls for years and I still don't know the truth (What is the truth), What are you talking about? I do agree that there is no perfect team and no smooth sailing but please let our girls enjoy this moment with support from LAX families.
