This isn't big enough news!
Let's ONLY post news about leadership shakeup and countdowns until trump is finally out of office! I like that much better than these insignificant tidbits

No no no. Only teeny tiny positive updates.

I didn’t have a fever today. OMG! Great news!

Happy to hear!! Have you had covid?
Hope you are feeling full of strength and on the road to full recovery.

There's almost no feeling as good as being able to shake off a stubborn fever

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was nice too, but based on the recent negativity in the group I was afraid I'd get backlash for sharing it.

That's great!
Though it doesn't sound like this fever was corona related and therefore doesn't really belong in this thread...
Nevertheless, swell news! Must feel awesome

Rate of New U.S. Coronavirus Cases Is Declining

SUNDAY, May 17, 2020 (HealthDay News) -- In a bit of good news for a beleaguered nation, new data released Friday finds that the number of new confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States has dropped in recent days. According to The New York Times, in New York state the figure has dropped over the last month, and case counts have also plunged in hard-hit Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Some states, including Vermont, Hawaii and Alaska, are seeing hardly any new cases at all, the newspaper said.

I check this thread daily - I am so desperate for any nugget of positive news.

To that end, does anyone have an accurate update on how Georgia is doing? I believe they lifted their order in late April to the criticism of many. I heard they did have an uptick but there are conflicting reports.

Generally speaking, cases are down across the state and in high concentration areas like Atlanta aren't noticing a large change in cases. Georgia is giving us great data points since they've been open for a couple weeks. Next couple weeks will determine a lot since many more states opened up today.

Thank you for explaining all that. Much appreciated

Maryland is still looking good! https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/

All three metrics the governor is using to slowly reopen (total hospital beds, acute beds, and ICU beds) are lower.

MD is a tough state to gauge since PG and MoCo remain relatively unchanged but the rest of the state opened up on Friday 5pm. The 2 counties are responsible for most of the cases so not sure how meaningful overall state data is
