Maybe they tell college coaches your child is not good enough because that’s the truth. The last thing they want is to lose credibility with the college coaches.

OK FCV mom that came chasing CC and ED, calm down! Your DD is not that good and IKNYN. Thats why you had to chase.

You think parents chased these horrible coaches, you are wrong. ED is already demoted to rec soccer and CC will soon lose his job again because he can't win any national games Well, maybe in the showcase event. it's already GA which is below ECNL and no more CL.im glad we moved to VDA

Yes, I do think so. They had to chase, no other coach will start their DDs and play them the whole game.

LOL. Two games in to the U17 Bracket and two ECNL teams have already lost to GA teams. Bethesda lost to a mediocre GA team 2-0 yet GA players can't start for an ECNL team.

You are that ECNL parent.

Only stat that matters and I'm the original poster. 2026 class of D1 commits 64%–75% are ECNL and 18%–20% are GA. VDA has become the top girls club in the area, hands down.

So the OP started a thread about VRSC with nothing but trash in it but called it no drama. Got it.

I don’t see where anyone questioned that VDA is the top Girls Club, like anywhere. The only thing I know is BP gets recruits every year into P4 schools who are not on that level and end up quitting.

Every thread ends up saying the same thing about this club, and honestly, it’s not wrong. At the core, it feels like they’re trying to be something they’re not. This could be a really solid mid level club. The pieces are there. But instead, there’s this constant push to act like they’re above everyone else, and it comes off forced. The whole “pathway to the pros” thing doesn’t feel real. Sending a couple kids to train at LU isn’t some proven system, it feels more like something to point to for marketing. Real development should speak for itself.

And the culture is tough to ignore. There’s clear favoritism, blurred lines, and way too much noise from parents. You hear things that just don’t sit right. At times it feels more like drama than a serious environment for kids. We’ve been here for two years and have made a point to stay out of all of it. I sit away from the parents. I go to the tournaments, keep my head down, and just listen to everyone picking apart the coaches and decisions. Everyone thinks they know better. At the end of the day, it just feels like the club would be better off leaning into what it actually is instead of trying so hard to be something else.

Good luck at your next club. Outside of VDA and Arlington, it will be just as bad and some Clubs are even worse. Jokes on you.

You're choosing to stay at VRSC. The joke is on you. A lot of other clubs parents' get better after u little and they have been around the block a few times. Enjoy toxic mediocrity. I'm happy we are leaving.

That RL team is ranked higher than VRSC and the team that Arlington lost as well. They were supposed to win.

First, more than a couple of the U17 amd U19 players have trained and played scrimmages with Loudoun FC, 8 from each team have had the opportunity. This is a new program this year with Loudoun FC, they did it with the UPSL team the last 2 years and a few of the boys played with them, as well.

Yes, you do have some parents who critize the coaches and complain about everything and some that try to play nice with the coach to get their kid play time. Those are things you will find at any club. Unfortunately your kids team may have ahd more of that but not all are that way. We have been with VRC for several years and some years that type of culture has been with the team but for the most part it has not and the parents all got a long good. We have been through several coaches in those years and some have been great but a couple did have their favorites. Again, these are things you will find at any club but when you are not happy it does make it seem more pronounced. I honestly hope you find what you are looking for.

One parent recently complained to the coach on our team and their player who rarely plays was awarded playing almost the entire game at the next event. The coaches are weak minded and don’t realize that by appeasing individual parents they are walking all over players who are loyal and don’t complain. This post downplaying the reaction by the coach fails to adequately address this as a morale problem for the entire team. Players who put in the work, working extra hard in practice and outside of practice…extra work are severely punished. It reduces their playing time and it points the finger away from the player that actually isn’t downing what they are supposed to do. This very bad coaching and for the club to downplay it makes the club a very bad club. Add in the constantly adding players with subpar ability to higher level teams and promising them playing time while all the same reducing other well deserving players field time is adding to demoralization of entire teams. It’s blatantly obvious to many parents this is going on unless you’re one of the new weaker players who’ve been given priority for no earned reason other than paying more fees. If this is what this club thinks is normal, we will go elsewhere.

Dear VRSC Warrior (staff member/owner) if you say "First", you must have a "Second" or "Secondly".

Dear VRSC Warrior (staff member/owner, )

Are you referring to the girls coach who doesn’t even pay attention to the match when the girls are on the field? Looks like he doesn’t even want to be there? Even at showcase events. No good reason to “criticise the coach”. Those parents obviously expect too much.

If a college coach was constantly picking up their phone during a match, I suspect that coach would be removed.

There's a VRSC coach who made phone calls while a game was going on that he was coaching?

Funny how so many of you think any type of positive post at VRSC is a staff member or owner. Did it ever cross your minds that some players/parents are actually happy with the club.
