Political Discussion
Yes, this. Everyday I see more big name republicans coming out in support of Harris. I have not seen one democrat come out in support of trump. |
Inflation is not up 20% since January- it’s more 2% |

I'm a dem who voted for Harris but think Dump is going to win b/c we are stupid, racist country that hates women.
And people like to burn things down. And Dump sells more adds for MSM than a Harris presidency does. Our democracy is doomed. |
Trump has no competency to deal with inflation or any other complex issue. He's not well. |
I think this is largely right because Harris is focused on turning out voters who historically vote in high numbers -- women, Southern black folks, and other reliable Dems. Whereas Trump knows his base isn't enough and is trying to "expand the base" by turning out people who tend to be low-information or disaffected voters -- young men, including young black and Latino men. I think Harris will win because she's focused on people who historically vote, but especially tend to turn out when they feel the stakes are high for them personally. Lately I've heard a lot of interviews with young men who support Trump because of "the economy" or "he seems strong and we need a strong leader" or because of some nostalgia for a time they never lived through where young men without college degrees could get high paying jobs. And at the end of these interviews I always think to myself, "I wonder if this guy is even registered to vote." In my experience young men like this rarely vote (and statistics back up that observation) and while they talk a big game on their political opinions, they are actually pretty divorced from the political process. My own husband didn't vote until he was in his late 20s. My younger brother didn't vote until his 30s. Young men just tend not to be very politically engaged, and cheering on Trump via Twitter from the comfort of home actually isn't political engagement. |
Says who? Russian trolls, like yourself? |
Kamala appears to be getting angrier and angrier at her rallies and giggling less. |
Hi PP- just want to say that I hear you and see you. All of this feels so so heavy. I don't have anything to say other than I'm with you. |
thank you. |
They’re bummed it was seamless and that it replaced a candidate they thought they could beat in a walk. They don’t care about “democracy,” they’re just mad. |
My family owns bunch of farms and the new kind of immigrants coming from border don't want to work at farms. They want free handouts. Stop spreading FUDs about farming. |
Yup. After Trump's 2016 electoral college upset the media went nuts for the Trump voters in diners trope. They couldn't believe they had missed that Trump was going to win via the EC. This has allowed this narrative - from Trump and his supporters - to endure, when in reality Trump should have and could have been a blip. The guy is not popular. In every election since 2016 Republicans have lost or underperformed, to the extent that a huge chuck of the GOP has repudiated him, including his own Vice President. |
Unless one counts her awful, awkward laugh to fill time as joy |
Man, I remember when saying things like this made you a communist. |
