Biden tried to eat a babies leg and his escort (I’m not sure it was Jill I think it was his hospice nurse) in a panda suit and your VP who wasn’t elected but appointed by the Democrat politburo calling half the country nazis you’re in a bad place.

When the issue is the economy and illegal alien migration and you presided over a terrible economy and the invasion of 10s of millions of illegals you’re going to lose

MAGA loves to point out how weak the economy is, despite near-record low unemployment, consistent economic growth, strong equity markets, and inflation running below 3%.

The numbers are rigged. Even the Fed called it out at a recent meeting.

Yeah the entire stock market— which has had maybe it’s greatest year ever this year- is rigged. Do you even hesr yourself or do you just not care because someone is paying you to post this crap?

NP. I think you are probably out of touch. I am from a working class background, although I am now a high earner. Most of my family remains working class. They are not rejoicing over the stock market; they may have (at most) 5 figures invested, if anything. They're worried about their grocery bill and whether they'll be able to afford their heating bills this winter. Unfortunately, that's representative of a majority of American households. Meanwhile, the rich get richer.

I was responding to the previous poster who responded to a comment about the stock market rising by saying the numbers are rigged.

But also if your relatives had $20k in the market/retirement accounts at the start of the year then now they have maybe $24k now without saving a dime more. I know how hard it is to save so don’t tell me that doesn’t matter.

Sure people are worried about making ends meet and sure it sucks that our economy is tilted toward the rich but anyone who votes for Trump and Musk thinking that will change that is not thinking straight

DP, but that extra 4k is merely keeping up with inflation. Same with my house price going up. There is no added value to stocks, just more froth, just more profits being extracted out of workers and consumers. Nothing to get excited about when you look at the big picture.

The biggest thing this thread tells me is that most people's "gut" is so bad!

If I had to stake out a position, its that the polls are wrong, and the way in which they are wrong is how they are identifying "likely voter". So this election, in my view, will be decided by how many unlikely voters each side pulls into voting.

In other words, enthusiasm and GOTV will win the day. So I suppose a Harris win

Wages are increasing faster than inflation, gas prices are down.

I mean I get that inflation sucks but on the one hand every nation in the world faced it after covid and we now have the best economy in the world and on the other hand you have a guy literally promising to make inflation worse.

It really is that simple.

I agree. Lots of people are not going to be able to pull the lever for Kamala. She's simply too random, and was forced upon us. And I'm a lifelong Democrat. I voted early and had a hard time doing it.

I completely disagree. I don't think there has ever been an easier presidential election choice. Trump is completely unfit. Harris is competent, choosing her is a piece of cake

She also will be able to attract a competent staff which is important. Obviously these are the people doing the lion's share of the work. Most of the people that work for Trump end up being horrified by him and put out warnings not to elect him.

This! Harris will surround herself with intelligent people and she will listen to them. Trump surrounds himself with yes men who assure him that he is king.

AZ: Republican early vote lead expands to 186k, nearly 300k swing from 2020.

Real Clear Politics added New Hampshire to toss up.

Maybe “Trump is just like Hitler” isn’t a an effective closing argument.

+1 Regardless of who wins, comparisons to Hitler are utterly gross, inappropriate, and untrue. The Republican rally's comedian's jokes about Latinos and Puerto Rico were also gross, inappropriate, and untrue. Why can't we have campaigns without these extreme descriptions? It's not helpful in getting people elected at all.

He's probably more comparable to Mussolini.

Who was Hitler compared to before he started building ovens?

The comparisons are being made by many Democrats and news media folks to Hitler -- who was responsible for the deaths of 6 million Jews. It is absurd to compare Trump to Hitler. (I voted for Harris.)

He is Hitler. Even his VP pick said he is an American Hitler. It is disgusting that you defend him but Hitler was nothing without his brownshirts.

I voted for Harris and am not defending him, but it is outrageous to say he's like Hitler.

People like Vance said it. What do you or I know?

We ALL know he hasn't killed 6 million people.

People throw out this retort like it ends the argument, but Hitler didn't start out by killing 6 million people. He started out by demonizing "others" in German society, namely Jews, but also gays, gypsies/Roma. Things descended from there. Oh, and the Germans first started killing the disabled before they started on the Jews and others.

Anyway, if they haven't banned all the books in your local library you can probably go check one out and read about it yourself.

And trump will ensure that the rich will continue to get richer. Tariffs will raise the prices on everyday items which will impact the lower and middle classes while the rich will continue to benefit from their tax cuts!

Yeah, I feel quite certain Trump is going to win. Are you reading the articles about women who are voting for Trump and then for democrats at the state level (to protect abortion rights)? And the pro-palestinian folks who are just not going to show up to vote because they can't stomach voting for her? And highly educated men who like JD Vance and are voting for the ticket for that reason?

People need to start preparing themselves for another Trump presidency.

Can you link some of these articles? Because no I haven't, and I also don't think these articles that focus on a couple of people here or there are very relevant.

Yeah, there certainly wasn’t any joy among the 75,000 people at the eclipse this week!

Harris has a much more difficult path to 270 than he does.

No, she really doesn't.

Harris voter here and I think she does. People really do NOT like her and I think we underestimate that.

It's not just that people don't like her, it's that people are smart enough to realize that they didn't vote for her to be the nominee and they rejected her the last time they had the chance to vote for her directly, yet "Democracy is on the ballot."

Nope.

There are thousands of GOP voters switching from Trump to Harris in PA, WI, MI.

This will be clearly evident come election day and the following days as the votes get counted.

+1. This is one area I don't see the media covering at all. The Never Trump part of the GOP has grown. Hell, I think a lot of the Republicans in Congress are going to vote for Harris.

Good majority of Asian Americans are voting for Trump through out the country contributing to the popular vote for Trump and 480,000+ Asian Americans in the Northern VA area will turn VA Red.

Harris is going to win. There is no doubt it will be a landslide however SCOTUS will install him anyway.

This is what will happen

Red states won’t certify or states with red legislatures. It will be highly contested no matter by how much she wins. SCOTUS puts it to the house he’s installed.

Maga has no idea what’s coming and I the 1perecent and am white will be here to watch their suffering. I hope to god they get everything every hateful stupid thing they have wished on others. They are racist shits who are utterly stupid. Not like Elon has not warned them hardship is coming, they think they are safe Catholics who are MAGA are idiots.

In what legal basis can they not certify the election? If she gets to 270 does it matter?

If the SC does that they will usher in political violence. Scary.

Yup. And I think they are well aware of this and thus won't do it, not by a majority anyway. I also think we are looking at violence either way.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2024/10/31/tiktok-trump-access-hollywood-gen-z/
“It’s been eight years since leaked audio from a conversation between Donald Trump and TV host Billy Bush made waves for the former president’s descriptions of kissing and grabbing women without their consent.
Now, young people are encountering the tape for the first time on TikTok, where users are sharing videos of their reactions and, in some cases, reaching large audiences.”
“I don’t think any of my friends had heard it,” said Kate Sullivan, a 21-year-old student in Ohio who heard the tape for the first time on her TikTok For You feed this week. “We all felt equally shocked.”
People her age have less tolerance for sexual misconduct after growing up amid a series of high-profile harassment and assault cases involving major celebrities, Sullivan said. She immediately felt compelled to share the audio in her own video, with the superimposed text, “Fathers are voting for this man.” The video has been viewed 2.5 million times and was reshared by singer Billie Eilish to her 68 million followers.
Brigid Quinn, a 15-year-old in Georgia, knew that Trump had been accused of making sexist comments, she said. But she had never heard the words he actually said — including the ‘grab them by the pussy’ quote. She “didn’t understand how people thought this was normal.”

I hope Brigid talks to her parents and grandparents and asks them if they heard it, what they thought, and who they voted for.

This more smoke blowing. Literally no one thinks VA will be red. And I really doubt he’ll get a majority of the Asian-American vote
