It will go down more once the base figures out Trump is going to open up more visas for foreign workers while zero manufacturing plants magically appear with jobs.

Trump is falling off a ciff in new Quinnipiac poll:

Overall approval: 38-54
Approval on economy: 39-56
Approval on trade: 39-54
On National Guard into cities: 42-55
On immigration, his "best" issue: 41-55

Now the kicker is that he doesn't really care. However, the sycophant GOP is going to get crushed as he continues to double down on his horrible policies.

But they won't lose power even if they get crushed because the speaker of the house won't seat anyone duly elected in in November 2026, even if the Dems can fight through the gerrymandering and voter suppression.

NP. There is no mechanism. https://www.hklaw.com/en/insights/publications/2017/12/when-can-congress-refuse-to-seat-a-dulyelected-can

But we are in new territory. It seems that if he were to not allow a few elected people into the chamber and allow a few of his choosing, Trump would back him up, and the SCOTUS would back up who they prefer.

U.S. President Donald Trump's disapproval rating among Republicans is now in double digits, according to a new poll.

The survey by Quinnipiac University says 10 percent of registered Republicans disapprove of the President's handling of his role, thought the vast majority, 86 percent, approve of his presidency.

This is the first time Republican disapproval of Trump has hit double digits in Quinnipiac polling.

NYT/Siena poll confirms what most other polls have shown of late - the country has rejected his "strongman" authoritarian tactics, and he is deeply unpopular.

Trump sending National Guard to cities is broadly unpopular (58% overall and 70% of independents oppose it) but it's popular among Republicans (79% support it). That last 21% of Republicans are alienated by MAGA violence, radicalism and hate.
