Biden's VP?

And Harris has a lot of issues in my opinion, from Willie Brown to her prosecutorial record to her attacks on Biden (which Trump will play on a loop), and weak policy chops. If Biden selects a Black VP, he should either go with an unquestionably qualified woman like Susan Rice or with Val Demings, who has a great biography and likely will have greater appeal both in the Black community and to middle America. I like Abrams, who would probably be best for turnout, but don't think she's ready yet.

Harris was given a platform to talk about policy and she bungled it up. I am not sure if that says she will not govern well, but it did take away the luster from her campaign. She started out as a very impressive candidate and fizzled out.

I agree, she was my number one starting out but lost me during the debates. I wanted her to be another Obama, but just didn't see it. Whenever I've seen her speak since, I haven't been impressed. Maybe she's fine doing the actual governing work, hard to say since she hasn't been doing it long, but she's not a great communicator. With all of his weaknesses in that area, Biden needs help there. No, we don't have a star like Obama or Clinton, but Demings and Whitmer are pretty good speakers, and Duckworth is not bad, gave a nice speech for military appreciation month recently. She speaks with authority on foreign policy and has effectively lambasted Trump: https://www.newsweek.com/tammy-duckworth-trump-iran-iraq-all-well-1481233

Michelle Obama... and it’s sooooooooo obvious it’s going to be her.

Seriously...why?

Why do people keep bringing up MO?

I love her but she has never ever never expressed an interest in politics. Never practiced with her law degree. Worked in the Chicago's mayor's office and then healthcare administration. Never ran for office. Has not ventured into community activism since leaving the White House or even before joining.

She also did not particularly enjoy the level of scrutiny and hatred she received as First Lady.

Other than her connection to Barack Obama, what has you so convinced?

Is this just lame trolling? Do you actually believe this? I’m sad for you.

Cons are the only ones bringing her up. Go read the comments on Fox News and you'll see exactly the same stuff about Michelle.

You're right, Michelle has no interest.

Cons are just desperate to torpedo Biden's campaign and they think/hope that Michelle is so unpopular that this would do it. They apparently think they can generate some kind of groundswell for Michelle by posting on Fox and DCUM. Good luck with that!

We’d all be lucky if Michelle agreed to be VP. She is used to the political spotlight, smart, poised and appeals to suburban women.

So unpopular her memoir has been on the NY Times bestseller list for 76 weeks

https://www.nytimes.com/books/best-sellers/hardcover-nonfiction/

But it's clear she doesn't want to do this. I'm coming around on Val Demings.

Hope. It got all of us this far. It’s the only thing that can take us further.

Yes, he gave a good speech today. I would be very happy with Val, Gretchen, or Tammy, but I will vote blue regardless.

How far back shall we go in the “investigations”?

I read the piece by Val Demings and I was inspired. Doesn’t happen easily. There is something good there. Don’t know much about her past that though, and I suspect neither do the other common folk.
