Yea no. Why is it an upset? What are you basing that off of? Even though you didn’t think it would happen in the first place. |
There has been so much talk about how strong SSSAS was this year, and how this was the strongest senior class they've ever had. Everyone on this thread said there was no way Visi would win. What happened? Did SSSAS underestimate their opponent? Is Visi stronger than people thought? Is SSSAS just not as good as their parents say they are? |
Visi was much stronger than people thought. |

It is really awesome how many great teams we have in the area. So great and fun to watch.
|
| Isn't it just painfully obvious, St Stephen's just isn't that good and their coach is overrated. Congrats to Visi. |
+1 And it is super cool that it is live-streamed. We got the link from a neighbor. Loved watching two high caliber teams play. Either high school team could probably hold their own against most college teams. We have a lot of talent in the DMV. Of course, if it was a game of boys team then probably they would have had a better camera. As someone else pointed out the picture was very blurry. GIRLS ROCK! |
| Thought the Visi Stanford commit was a 1000x better than the other two at SSSAS. |
| Come on, that seems a little harsh. Visi was strong on the draw and defensively and was patient offensively, but the game turned on a few ground balls, missed shots & turnovers from 2 charges and 1 false start. It was a great game. Visi played smarter and earned the win. I agree with PP that it's great to have so many strong teams locally. |
| How many D1 commits does SSSAS have? How many D1 commits do we have at Visi? Yeah, believe what you want, Visi is the better team and better coached. |
| Don't be a Visi d-bag. There's more to winning than the number of D1 commits. The girls are talented, played well and have a great coach. |
| Isn’t there a re-match today? |
| Just ended. Visi took it in OT. Visi 7, Saints 6. |
| Dining room @ Belle Haven is going to buzzing tonight. |
| Win or lose, its pretty obvious the game has passed the SSSAS coaching staff by. To hold the ball for a last shot and fail. Leaving key players on the bench in favor of those who curry favor with the school and the coaches. Promoting a style of play that isn't played in the past decade of collegiate lacrosse. You could go on and on. Our coach is a little nutty, but she's a winner. She's beating SSSAS three out of the last four meetings. Act superior all you want. We're top ten in the country now, and you lost out on being #1. Enjoy the moment. You have nothing to blame except your coaching staff and lazy players. See you next season. |

Have been waiting for people to see SSSAS’s coaching staff for what it is. Hoping this shakes the tree at Capital as well. |
