2021 DMV Girls Outlook

Bullis plays SJC this Wednesday. SJC won last year.

Looks like SR and GC now have a matchup next month! A 1 goal game in indoor at the St. James. Will be interesting to see when the "pay to play" aspect and no worries of 'fall' sports.

Anonymous wrote:Probably inviting a ton of hate mail, but based on winter league play, here's my guess at the 'preseason top 10' of where things are in the DC/Baltimore metro area -

Stone Ridge
St Pauls School for Girls
McDonogh
Georgetown Visitation
Notre Dame Prep
Glenelg Country
St. Stephens
Bishop Ireton
Bullis
Madison High School

Any takers?

Bullis girls lacrosse doesn't belong on this list. I don't think they scored a single goal against Stone Ridge last week. Even the JV looked lackluster.

Correct - Bullis lost 10-0 to SR.

St Stephens plays Georgetown Visitation this coming Friday and Saturday. We won't beat St Stephens. Just not enough depth for full field.

McDonogh (#1) beat Stone Ridge (#15) in overtime last week, and St. Stephen's (#2) beat Potomac by 12. This week St Paul's School for Girls (#8) beat McDonogh by 7, and St. Stephen's plays Georgetown Visitation (#14) twice this weekend. Number 1 lost. So, will Number 2 follow? Love lacrosse season.

No, #2 will not lose to Visi. And before you bash me I am not a Saint Stephens parent. #8 beat #1 because they were both ranked improperly, SPSG is arguably the best team in the country. Would be great if they could play SSSA to see who is better but I doubt in these times that will happen.

Agree. It's probably more likely SSSAS will have a running clock at some point (as SPSG did on McDonogh) than Visi pulling an upset. I hope they keep it close, but I am not sure it will happen.

Anyone know the results of the Visi SSSA game?

Visi 9, SSSAS 8

Did they stream the game online? Or will tomorrow’s game be online? I know my daughter would love to watch it.

Does anyone have the details? I thought SSSA was stacked this year and people were expecting a running clock. This was quite the surprise.

SSSA had the opportunity to win but too many errors and lazy play. Visi deserved the win.

It was livestreamed through NFHS. You had to register but it was free to watch. We had a link but try going to nfhsnework.com and see if you can locate the game that way.

Members of our family were in two different locations with different internet carriers and the quality of the streaming was fine. Unfortunately the quality of the video was extremely poor. The picture was cloudy and blurry. You couldn't even see player numbers when the camera was focused on the goal on the south side of the field. It wasn't a buffering issue.

It was a good game to watch. Visi played well. SSSAS didn't.

That's not true. ait was great game to watch, both teams played hard and either team could have won.
