“I don’t like it therefore it’s not good” |
Not proven wrong at all. The poster evaluating Tottenham correctly counted premier league and champions league trophies as more valuable than the FA cup, and other trophies as irrelevant. This is because not all trophies are equal. In the state cup - the U18 trophy is an anomaly - it is not (nearly) as competitive as the other age groups for the reason I mentioned. Therefore - just as no-one in English football ever gave a hoot about the milk cup, nor does anyone care about the U18 state cup. |
| please take the epl conversation to another thread. this one is regarding syc. |
I'm the guy who pointed out that they never won a darn thing in the last three decades. Elite? Nobody will remember this Tottenham team in five years time, let alone thirty, whatever silly metrics this RantingPeepeehead idiot copmes up with. He's trying to claim Tottenham are more "elite" than Liverpool over the last five years. What a joke. This Liverpool team will go down in history as one of the greatest Liverpool teams ever, perhaps even one of the greatest teams the world has ever seen. It will be remembered and discussed wherever football fans meet for a pint for decades to come. Tottenham? Nobody, apart from Tottenham fans will remember this team even existed in five years. |
lol okay... CCL literally prioritizes U18 age group over U19 age group. Want to talk about ECNL teams doing the same? |
Nonsense. SYC prioritizes the U18 cup - presumably because they think they stand a chance of winning it, because no-one else enters a team. Let's compare the two competitions: 1. Only 12 teams entered as compared to 20 which entered the U19 competition. 2. Let's examine the top three U18 CCL clubs (which you claim prioritize the U18 competition) per the league table: - FC Richmond Magic entered their team in the U19 competition and ignored the U18 competition. - Skyline entered their team in the U19 competition and ignored the U18 competition.- - Beach FC entered their team in the U19 competition and ignored the U18 competition. Note that all three of these clubs are ahead of SYC in the league standings. 3. On the ECNL side - Arlington entered its first team in the U19 competition, winning it. It entered its second team in the U18 competition. - McLean entered its first team in the U19 competition, and did not enter the U18 competition. - Loudoun entered its second team in both competitions. pwned |

Why didn’t Arlington enter their top team in State Cup for U18? So they could load up U19?
Nobody says pwned anymore dude, 4Chan is for normies. Only go to TD for the winnage otherwise ewe ghey |

if it tkaes moor then too minits brush up on Untied Status
Or stop with “pwned” |
Everyone has a rough game. My son's team played the VYS Red team at this age earlier this season and lost by several goals. While they were up 3+ goals late, I got to watch their coach lose his mind on the ref and a parent get kicked out over a goal kick and interpretation of the build out line and exactly when their kid could run forward. |
A parent got sent off over a goal kick, that is great |
| Is it true SYC’s TD is a former coach from LMVSC? |
Yes |
U18 and U19 is really just one age group. This is a function of the cutoff date switch from school year to birth year. Most of the U19 kids went to college already, but a fraction of them (Sep - Dec birthdays) remain seniors and thus eligible to play on a 2002 team, but not on a 2003 team. Consequently all clubs have only one first team for the whole U18/U19 age group which is mostly U18s wth a handful of U19s. It is not possible to enter the same team into both competitions since they would have to be in two places at once. Therefore (almost) every club prioritizes the U19 competition. SYC prioritized U18 presumably because they recognized that it was a much weaker competition and they stood a chance of winning. pwned. |
Along with some of the other directors and the majority of the Blue team coaches. Seems like they are doing well there just like they were at their prior club. There are a bunch of pages on this topic in the lmvsc thread. |
Yes sir |
