Most of the U19 kids went to college already, but a fraction of them (Sep - Dec birthdays) remain seniors and thus eligible to play on a 2002 team, but not on a 2003 team. Consequently all clubs have only one first team for the whole U18/U19 age group which is mostly U18s wth a handful of U19s. It is not possible to enter the same team into both competitions since they would have to be in two places at once. Therefore (almost) every club prioritizes the U19 competition. SYC prioritized U18 presumably because they recognized that it was a much weaker competition and they stood a chance of winning. pwned.[/quote]
