| Yes, getting rid of immigrants will automatically reverse the fortunes of low income Americans. Healthcare and jobs for everyone! |
Who’s hiring them (besides Trump) and what’s the administration’s plan to deal with the criminal employers? |
Seems like there’s a specific term for some of the rhetoric being spread on this thread. |
You’re not confused, you’re either willfully ignorant or just stupid. The people who are self-treating tooth abscesses are some of the same people who bitched about the individual mandate because they’d rather get tattoos and smoke than take personal responsibility and pay for their own health insurance, even with a hefty subsidy. Anyone who understands how insurance works understands that the individual mandate would have made everyone pay in so the risk pool was as large as possible so premiums would be lower. Unfortunately, sicker people bought plans and the healthier people decided they’d just shirk and show up in the ER, so the insurance marketplace didn’t work as intended. Of course, that was by GOP design. |
You would have a fit of one of your children was treated this way. It is unconscionable that the United States of America has sunk to the level of Hitler and Stalin. |
So, you would agree that this "sinking" began long before Trump assumed office, right? |
If we are lot legally allowed to check ID to see if someone is legal, how can anyone formulate a plan or be held responsible? |
Resources are finite. If we are providing for illegal poor people, legal poor people are getting shafted. |
Did the Obama administration claim in court it was OK to keep babies on the floor all night with the lights on and no clothes and no soap? I might have missed that. |
You're evading the point. When the government takes custody of a person, then the government assumes the responsibility to treat them humanely. This isn't about some kind of government benefit being provided to "illegal poor persons," but rather deplorable detention conditions. |
Well, Sarah Fabian, the attorney who argued the case, worked for this office during the Obama administration. Her argument to the court during the Obama administration may be perceived as worse than this. But, crickets from the Outrage Crowd. "She also argued for the Justice Department in 2015 — during the Obama administration — that detention authorities should have the power to put immigrant children in solitary confinement." https://www.huffpost.com/entry/doj-attorney-sarah-fabian-no-soap-beds-toothburshes-immigrant-children_n_5d0ea60fe4b0aa375f4d8eda |
| So this is what it feels like to be in a country that runs concentration camps |
|
You've been in one all along. Read a history book |
They are pretty much offering themselves to custody. At this point I would be fine with pretty much turning a blind eye to anyone that walks in, and turning into a maximum surveillance state (in case and are threats) and mandatory quarantine (with toothbrushes) for anyone who presents at a clinic with TB, Ebola or the newest killer virus as inevitably will happen. Dont see how border patrol can be expected to be a daycare for a random amount of children being processed daily. |
