I imagine these kids find a way to me drop in their application. Like the inspiring trip to a developing country while their dad reported, etc. If the parent has a good Q rating or whatever, the school would admit a slightly less qualified applicant for the publicity. |
Rob Lowe and his son were one of the first to come out and say how hard they (the son) worked. |
She looks amazing, everyone agrees. Who cares if she had work done. |
ah me too ! the audacity of it all. I mean she did look like sh!t, actually she looked like felicity Huffman as opposed to the pics of her with loads of make up on and aggressively straightened hair. In an industry where shallowness, backstabbing, faux smiles and circumstantial alliances are the norm she will learn quickly who are true friends are. #ByeFelicia |
Name drop. |
PPP here and I know this - not trying to throw shade at Katie Couric (or anyone else), but it's something that I think most people think about in the back of their minds. Would the kids of celebrities - even smart ones - have gotten into elite schools without their parents' name/influence/money? |
haven't read all the posts - but what are your thoughts on how this will end for them. I know they can afford the best of the best to "defend" them but there's no real defense for their actions, so I would have to think SOMETHING has to happen...hefty fines, kids are expelled etc.
or am I just being naive. probably am, forget I asked. |
Kids expelled. At least one parent going to jail for 12-24 months and a fine. Lori Loughlin is fighting to stay on Hallmark - which is literally 90% of her income. But she screwed the pooch so they may or may not kick her to the curb. Definitely if there's jail time involved. ![]() Lori Loughlin Is the Hallmark Channel's Best-Loved Actor, So What Happens Now? https://jezebel.com/lori-loughlin-is-the-hallmark-channels-best-loved-actor-1833264262 |
Their defense will be that they have clean records prior to this and this was all done out of love for their children and they sacraficed so that their children could go on to have the best education. Blech! I seriously do not see jail time for the celebs at all. |
I hope they get the maximum penalty, fine and prison sentence. However, I think the humiliation alone is worth its weight in gold. I mean seriously...! How can she look at non-criminals with a straight face. Even Jussie Smollet is like... "damn girl. that's bold!" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Really? I feel like this is such a "little" crime. Who was hurt? Sure, maybe some kid didn't get in to his first choice school because the bribery-kid took his place, but really, he probably had similar back-up schools to go to. Let's be honest, we all push boundaries every day to make sure our kids succeed - most of us just don't have the extra cash they did to make it happen. |

OK girl. ![]() |
I don't know. I think we are in a new time now - no one is immune. so embarrassing. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
No one saw jail time for Teresa and Joe Guidice either. Now they've done 5 years in prison between them AND Joe's being deported at the end of the month. Already heading into ICE custody. Being a celebrity doesn't make them above the law. |
