so sad. if it were a robbery went awry, it seems like a jogger is a stupid target, compared to, say, a drunk person leaving a bar, who would more likely have money on them. obviously both are horrible, but i never carry anything with me when i run.
condolences to family and friend. |
Different poster. It's a mile from Bloomingdale, which is hardly "not anywhere close" and that crime was a mentally ill homeless man so certainly in the realm of this discussion here. |
Seriously? Let's start here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/woman-fatally-stabbed-saturday-afternoon-in-northeast-washington/2018/04/01/8f9ab2f8-35c4-11e8-8fd2-49fe3c675a89_story.html?utm_term=.f487c2e71c43 |

She was standing at a crosswalk in a populated area, cars, people in restaurants who claim they saw her from windows...who could be vigilant when someone is coming at you with a knife (or whatever they choose to attack you with). Completely caught off guard.
It’s haunting me that she managed to get into that restaurant for help and point to attacker outside. Those poor men that tried to save her, God have mercy! |
|
I do not understand how this attacker has not been found. The shirt color alone is so easily recognizable.
Where did he go? If you live in that area or anywhere along Rhode Island Avenue, how are you not scared to death? |
| What is the make and model of the criminal |
+1. |
I cannot even stand driving up and down Rhode Island Avenue to get to work. Logan Circle is beautiful, though. |
We don't have to imagine it; we just went through it with the Nia Wilson murder. |
SERIOUSLY!? |
| DC thugs have something against white women and little black girls... that yoga instructor was murdered back on Christmas day 2016 and the little girl was shot and killed recently AND now this !!! |
... The little girl was an accidental bystander shooting. Better to bring up Nia Wilson. Who was also stabbed in the neck and left to die. Not even three months ago.
|
| I just walked by that corner. There were close to a hundred people within my eyesight. I don’t think you people realize how busy and populated it is. |
Newsham said the killer is described as a black man wearing a mustard-colored shirt that went to his thigh area, along with dark-colored sweatpants that were slightly rolled up. The man wore white socks and light-colored sandals, according to Newsham. He fled south on 11th Street NW. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/woman-stabbed-in-popular-logan-circle-neighborhood-of-dc/2018/09/19/cff93ae8-bbf9-11e8-9812-a389be6690af_story.html?utm_term=.5d1794426e1f |
