If blacks would do ONE thing that the majority of whites do, it would go a long way to reducing poverty, discouraging crime, creating families less dependent on welfare, and negating the stereotypes they are fighting against: Get married before you have a baby.

Your example of using whites as models is WRONG by any measure of statistics. ASIANS are Model US citizens. From on use Asians as a model to follow for whites and blacks.

No, I'm right, because this entire discussion is about white privilege, so it's an apt comparison to compare white outcomes to blacks. If we were talking about Asian Privilege, then you'd have something there. Asians are negatively affected by affirmative action because it gives them fewer seats in colleges than what they deserve on merits alone. So if you do away with affirmative action, most of the benefits will go to asians NOT whites as whites imagine.

My point is, when you use benchmarks use the TOP most performer, not a mediocre performer. You don't aspire to become mediocre, you aspire to become the best.

YES, I am ANGRY. Angry that I'm accused of being racist. It's simply a way for Black people to shirk their responsibilities for there poor performance in Society. Even if we assume that there's some subtle form of white privilege, I'm seeing that black people use that as an excuse as to why, as a group, they are not doing as well as whites - rather than examine how they themselves contribute to unequal outcomes. The spoils go to the wealthy, and Trump is a perfect example of that, past and present.

First, you say my anger is misplaced. I wasn't talking about myself. I was explaining how working class whites feel, and why they are angry. (Actually, you sound sort of angry.) And second, I never said people on gov't assistance live the life of Trump! But there have been studies that show it would take $x amount of dollars in income to equate to the value of gov't asst (sub housing, food stamps, welfare, etc.), and the amount was quite a bit higher than many working class people make.

If only so many of those working class people in certain didn't keep voting for the party dedicated to limiting/eliminating the social safety net, opposing any increase to the minimum wage, opposing support for medical care, etc. then maybe they'd actually have programs to help themselves, too.

So you're saying that these people should vote for policies that would give THEM some government benefits, too. The problem is that the country is in $20 trillion of debt and simply can't afford more entitlement programs. There's no good way to pay for it. (And "tax the rich" won't work.....not enough rich to cover it.)

Actually majority of asians have been voting democrat for years now. Reason is probably to keep cheap labor for small businesses.
