Nonverbal FxAT was still decent? (Hmm, I wonder if boys in general do better on NNAT than girls do?) |
I think we should complain to the county or education department about these kind of teachers........!! I think Its a good suitable job in McDonalds for you .!! Why don't you quit your job and try in subway or McDonalds. |
| Finally done with the appeal. It'll be a long month of June... |
Stop feeding the troll! She is a deranged anonymous poster attempting to bait you by berating children. Not an AAP teacher. |
| Hope our high WISC can overcome the low GBRS. Good luck to you all. |

Plan on putting DD file together for start of next school year
VCI 116 PRI 115 this is off the top of my head: WM 126 PR 128 FSIQ=126 GBRS 12 what are the chances of her getting in? Doesnt seem likely with low score does it? |
I do not think it looks likely; it appears to me that your DC would do well in a general ed class. |
| Agreed. I would hate to put your hopes down, but the low VCI and PRI will be hard to look appealing. |
| Thanks for your honesty. She is quite a bright child and very hardworking. I am sure she will do well no matter what program she gets into. |
| this is PP, also most likely I will give it a try and see what happens but I wont appeal it. I am a believer that if your child is truly "AAP material" they would get in the first round. |
Disagreed. I've seen quite a few average children with low tests scores get in the first round due to the high GBRS. The mother of the very"average" child was quite surprised that her son actually made it in. He had low NNAT and low FxAT scores. |
hmm really? thats good to know, gives me some hope. |
The AART in our school suggested to appeal and said on average %50 of appeals win. It's a process not a destiny, IMO. |

+1 |
| The 50% appeals number is misleading. it is something like 70% with WISC (probably people with lower wiscs do not appeal), and much less likely without testing. |
