R U kidding? Most AAP kids are just hardworkers who were 'lucky' to get in. Very few kids have an actual IQ of 130 + - unlike the NNAT and Cogat/FxAT, the WISC is a true measurement of actual intelligence. PP, your kid will do just fine in AAP, as most kids are not genius or even very superior in their intellect. |
| Can people list where the WISC scores come from (GMU or private psychologist)? |
|
Can anyone please give me an advise on my DC?
FSIQ is very high at 145 but low GBRS of 6. Any thoughts? |
| I'm not sure what you want to hear. I don't think anybody really knows what will happen this round, since things have changed. |
| I understand that things are somewhat different this year, but I still believe that any child with high FSIQ of 145 should be accepted to the AAP. |
|
What if the GBRS is below 10? I think FSIQ 135 would still be good with lower GBRS. |
| How many of you took WISC-IV for the appeal? Is it most of you? If yours did, what were the scores? |
|
Verbal Comprehension Score 112
Perceptual Reasoning Score 139 Working Memory Score 110 Processing Speed Score 115 Full Scale Score 126 |
| Full Scale 129 GBRS 8 with higher PRI than VCI. |
You are on the edge. |
| PRI is better than VCI? |
don't know what you mean by better.. but I've heard that the committee weighs more on the VCI and PRI |
| Have heard that between VCI and PRI, VCI is weighted the most. |
Agree. |
