We live on a horrible timeline. Our government and the vast majority of our media companies very clearly value the life of 800 innocent civilians (of the approx. 1,250 killed on 10/7 or later as hostages), and even the lives of the 16 innocent civilians killed in Australia last weekend, immeasurably above the lives of the 45 - 50,000 innocent civilians killed in Gaza since 10/7 (as well as the hundreds of innocent West Bankers killed since then, too).
Sure, they try to get cute and assign blame to Hamas or Iran or whomever, but they don’t even realize that’s exactly what abusers always do - they blame the victim for the ferocious, brutal beating they just delivered (and that they continue to deliver). “The slaughter will stop when morale improves.” 30 - 40x the death toll, to say nothing of the other horrific casualties that will last a lifetime, and it’s as if our government and media don’t care at all. But lower the American flag to half-mast at U.S. government buildings following the killing of a provocative political operative who baked his bread sowing cruel division amongst Americans under the guise of debate? Yeah, you can bet that priority won’t be overlooked. God help us. |

Now they’re all shocked. The progressive activists. The influencers. The Greens. The podcasters. All those impeccably right-on people who’ve spent two years making “Zionist”—or “Zio”—the dirtiest word in the Australian vocabulary. Who marched down Oxford Street during Mardi Gras holding a sign that said “Globalise the Intifada.”
Well, congratulations. The intifada’s here. Globalized. Mission accomplished. You built this. You laid the foundations, brick by rhetorical brick, post by viral post, march by march with your inverted red triangles and your signs bearing the words “Zionists are neo-Nazis.” What exactly did you think “intifada” meant? It means blood. It has always meant blood. And now they’ll be cleaning up the blood on Bondi Beach for weeks. So spare us the shock. Save the thoughts and prayers. You don’t get to globalize the intifada and then act all surprised when it finally shows up. https://www.wsj.com/opinion/globalize-the-intifada-means-blood-on-bondi-beach-67ad637a?st=1EmaV6 |

Are you saying they shouldn’t have expressed any outrage over what Israel is doing in Gaza, or that they should have been more careful in how they went about it? |
| Two Antizionist terrorists globalized the intifada. |
The left is not antisemitism. The right is. |

I don’t think there that much of a reaction for the obvious reason that Americans have lost sympathy for Jews given how Israel has treated the Palestinians.
We were brought up to view Jews as an oppressed religious minority, and that resonated because we were also brought up to think of America as a pluralistic society and a land of religious freedom for those oppressed due to their religious views. Now Israel has just made Jews seem like a vicious tribe, and tribal disputes are nasty, vindictive, and unpredictable. If warring tribes want to murder each other around the globe, the only thing some of us now ask is that it not be done with our money. But otherwise attacks on Jews in Australia worry us no more or no less than attacks on Palestinians in Gaza or the civil strife in Sudan. It’s horrible, but so too is evil behavior by others, including Jews, who engage in tribal violence elsewhere. |
I think that's an issue both sides are united on but with different subgroups leading the charge. |
NP: Agreed. The left is just as guilty. Focusing on Gaza to the exclusion of every other global conflict is antisemitism. Not to mention using Gaza as a proxy for domestic US complaints. Extremists pick on those from whom they don't fear retribution. That's why both the far-left and far-right express open contempt for white women. They don't fear retribution from them. |
Look at what Zionists do. Try to distract and use whataboutism to take the focus away from their ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing. And will sacrifice the rights of Americans like free speech and the right to boycott to achieve their goals. And they prioritize the apartheid state of Israel over their own countries that they reside in. Disgusting. |
