The majority of MoCo residents cluster in the downcounty.

And yet...upcounty residents also exist! And many staff commute from Frederick.

Sigh. You can go to bed now. Work tomorrow.

I wouldn't be so sure. I bet they are gonna send out an email either very late tonight or early tomorrow morning

Agreed. But I will be very annoyed if MCPS prohibits beforecare providers from opening one-time even in the areas of the county where it is just rain...

Currently, the forums of MCPS, FCPS and DCPS are all full of weenies who desperately want schools to delay tomorrow. Which they probably won't do, and most certainly will not do in the case of DCPS.

We go through this every year. First snowflake brings out the weenies.

Then in March, when a real snowstorm arrives, the threads are full of the same ex-weenies who clamor to keep schools open and who are OK with kids risking life and limb to trudge to school on icy sidewalks.

They're just so stupid.

Ha ha! This is so true

At least the superintendent was able to make his video

I predict we will be on time. "Storm" was my opening guess in Wordle, and there were no correct letters, which is the sign I needed to tip this one way or the other.

Why is it? Some parts of the county get more precipitation and district makes one decision for the entire county.

Because anyone with common sense will be able to drive just fine. Major roads will be fine, between the traffic warning the surface and treatments. People can simply drive slower on the side roads with less traffic, although I suspect those surfaces will also be above freezing by around 6:30am.

between the traffic *warming* the surface, I mean.
