She seems super annoying and her “guests” “friends” seem a little afraid of her. It reminds me of an old Martha Stewart holiday special involving kids who all seemed terrified and were about to burst into tears.
I did like the lemon cake with the swirls of buttercream and jam. I am definitely borrowing that idea. |

Apart from the intolerably cringey Mindy episode....here is the problem with the show:
1. It is patently, painfully obviously oozing money in a way that will never be aspirational because 99.9999999% of the people will never live this way. These acres of countertop! These lush Montecito meadows! These arresting views of miles and miles of nature and nothing else. Come on. You know you need millions to live this way, dress this way, (but not, it must be said, eat this way, because this eating is quite pedestrian). 2. Meghan is a terrible actress in this show. She is utterly lacking in authenticity. She speaks with such affectation that I don't know how anyone can look at her and not roll one's eyes. It is just so....fake. |
