Trump wants his Inaugural events. They won't shut the government down for long. We are in the thick of preparing everything already and any delay at this point will really affect those events.

This is completely insane. There was bipartisan agreement on a CR. And freaking Musk blows it up? Who the hell is he to even get involved? If this is a sign of how things are going to go - we are F*cked.

I also know Dems are not trying to take away Social Security and veterans benefits. The GOP does.

They also care about little things like keeping the government running and providing necessary services, and so on. They also don't do stupid and deranged things like blow their own houses up "to own the MAGAs" the way Trump and the House Republicans are acting "to own the libs" right now.
