Hamas started this. FAFO. This won't end until Hamas unconditionally surrenders. That is how most wars end when one side is so much more powerful than the other. |
Another ignoramus who thinks history started in 2023. |
Israel can easily beat Hamas on the ground, but they want to limit Israeli and direct Palestinian civilian deaths in the process. Hamas has no such restrictions in their war plan. |
What on Earth are you talking about? European powers occupied the former Ottoman Empire. Britain and the UN gave half of Palestine to the invading Jews in 1948. Palestine never had a chance to be a state. The Arab world uses Palestine for proxy war against Israel and as a buffer against Israel expansion. |
Hamas will never surrender conditionally or unconditionally. Death is not a viable threat to people who are willing to fight to their death. What is trump going to do, use nuclear weapons on Gaza? I Don't believe the hostages are still alive. |
"Trump demands that Israeli hostages released before 1/20 or he will destroy them." Seems rather unfair to the hostages. What did they do? |
Israel seems to assume they are all dead now. Does Trump have other Intel? |
Of course Palestine had a chance. They could have made a nation of what they were given, but instead they wanted ALL of it and didn't want to share with the Jews. And I say "what they were given" because the hadn't controlled the land for hundreds of years. Prior to British mandate it was run by Ottoman Turks for centuries, and much of the land they lived on was held by landlords in Syria and elsewhere. |
At least I can appreciate your attempted clarification re: “given” … |
PP For these purposes it did. Nothing before October 2023 is relevant. We can take that walk down memory lane if you want but FAFO still applies. What history do you think would excuse Hamas's actions in 2023? It should be clear by now, nobody is ready to start WWIII over the Palestinians. So either Hamas surrenders unconditionally or this goes on until Israel decides to stop because nobody is going to stop them. |
Let me guess, you’re an ignoramus that thinks history doesn’t go beyond the 1940s. |
The arab world invaded Israel within hours of Israel becoming a state. Everyone knew it was coming. Almost all the palestinians that ended up in refugee camps fled Israel in the days and weeks leading up to the anticipated invasion. And after the invasion, Israel kicked out a few and never let the rest back in. |
If that's true then there is no hope for the Palestinians. Nobody can stop the Israelis now but the Israelis |
Don't forget the rejection of the camp david accord. Don't forget how hamas exists in Gaza but not in the west bank after Israel voluntarily vacated their settlements in gaza because people were4 getting on their case about all the settlements (frankly the settlements are hard to justify). |
Israelis can barely walk and chew gum at the same time. All it would take to stop them is to cut off their welfare checks and they’d have no further funding to continue their evil deeds in the world. Tall hat, no cattle. |
