Trump demands that Israeli hostages released before 1/20 or he will destroy them

The poorer the character, the greater the support from Republicans. Extra points for significant incompetence.

Seems like Trump and his team are pushing Israel to agree to the ceasefire.

From what I have read, it is similar to the ceasefire laid out by Biden back in May, but Israel has thus far refused to agree to.

I wish Biden had applied similar pressure to Netanyahu.

Biden will go down in history as "Genocide Joe", enabler of ethnic cleansing and mass murder.

It will be “Genocide Bibi” with America as his accomplice.

He’s an unhinged racist Zionist. Possibly also some early hair loss and trouble with women. Definitely not a father; no parent would be that sickly dehumanizing about dead children.

As opposed to those who are reduced to infantile name-calling instead of anything actually factual?

The apologists simply ignore the reality of the situation: Hamas started the current conflict and is continuing it. It cannot "win" militarily in any meaningful sense, and never could. Without Iranian support, Hamas would be completely ineffective. With such support, it is just effective enough to bring about its own destruction. Those are facts, indisputable.

Israel isn't going anywhere, and Hamas activity is merely prolonging Palestinian suffering, accomplishing nothing useful. Casualties are the consequence of Hamas actions, no more, no less. Calls for the cessation of Hamas activity and for the release of Israeli hostages are the only way to stop Palestinian suffering. Past Palestinian grievances are irrelevant in that context. Continuing to encourage Gazans to try to restore the pre-1948 status quo by force is only to encourage them to continue suicide. They need instead to envision a different future for themselves, one which is actually achievable, or else face more of what they are experiencing currently.

More Zionist lies. Israel could end their endless occupation and apartheid just as easily but won’t. Your explanation is eerily similar to how white South Africans justified their apartheid to the Blacks.

Don't you just think that the people taking sides in this stupid Israel/Gaza conflict are just the worst people in the world? I mean, who supports the killings of innocent people? Terrible people, that's who.

I think people supporting apartheid and endless occupation and subjugation are the worst types, luckily so do many others.

None of those people that think that way matter.
Non of them can or will do anything about it other than butch and moan about it on the internet.
You are not doing hamas any favors by encouraging them to keep fighting.
The best thing they can do for themselves and the palestinians is to unconditionally surrender.

The South Africans were able to end their apartheid, I’m hopeful one day that the Palestinians will have theirs end as well.

Maybe they will stop behaving in ways which require civilized countries, i.e., the rest of the world,. to keep them at arm's length for their own safety? Nobody is inviting them to immigrate, even co-religionists.

Keep dehumanizing them. The same was done to Native Americans, the Roma, Black South Africans, African Americans and many more! It’s so much easier to be racist and dehumanize than to accept the truth.

In this case, they are reaping what they sowed. Behave in ways which rresult in pariah status, become pariahs.

This seems like Biden trying to pressure Bibi. Israel has not agreed to anything.

Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire deal to pause the devastating war in the Gaza Strip, the United States and Qatar said Wednesday, raising the possibility of winding down the deadliest and most destructive fighting between the bitter enemies.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office did not confirm the deal, saying the final details were still being sorted out.

They tried withdrawal from Gaza before and it didn't work out as advertised. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_disengagement_from_the_Gaza_Strip
Israel has learned through hard bloody lessons that peace cannot be attained so easily.

So now you can call them any names you like, they don't care anymore.
They care more about their grandchildren than about your opinion.
And as you can see by the international inaction, nobody cares about your opinion anymore.
You're just chihuahuas howling at the moon.

This is war.
War is hell.

FAFO.

You didn’t read the Wikipedia that you linked.

The year of the disengagement would see the removal of 8,475 settlers from Gaza, while in that same year the number of new settlers in the West Bank increased by 15,000.[89] After Israel's disengagement, there was increased freedom of movement within Gaza due to Israel's removal of its settlements. Israel's disengagement also resulted in loss of the settlement factories, workshops, and greenhouses where Gazans were employed.[90] The year following the disengagement saw a tightening of external Israeli control over Gaza, specifically, the closure of crossings into Gaza for people and goods, increased restrictions on the coastline for fishing, and increased aerial, maritime and on the ground military activity. The Israeli human rights organization Gisha lists various examples of actions requiring Israeli permission or approval in the year following the disengagement. These restrictions include the need for Israeli permission to import basic necessities such as milk, to host foreign lecturers at universities, and register children in the Palestinian population registry. Additionally, fishermen must obtain permission to fish off Gaza's coast, and nonprofits need approval to receive tax-exempt donations. Financial transactions such as the transfer of salaries to teachers are also controlled by Israel, which affects the payment of salaries by the Palestinian Ministry of Education. Moreover, farmers require authorization to export agricultural products, and students wishing to study abroad depend on Israel's approval for the opening of the Gaza-Egypt crossing.[91]

The United Nations, international human rights organizations and many legal scholars regard the Gaza Strip to still be under military occupation by Israel.[13] The International Court of Justice reaffirmed this position, stating that the occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip are unlawful and its discriminatory laws and policies against Palestinians violate the prohibition on racial segregation and apartheid. The ICJ rejected the claim that Gaza was no longer occupied following the 2005 disengagement, on the basis of Israel's continued control over the Gaza Strip.[108][109]
In Jaber Al-Bassiouni Ahmed v. The Prime Minister, the Israeli Supreme Court assumed that occupation had ended with the disengagement but did not explain the theory or facts that led to this conclusion.[110][111] After the disengagement, Israel claimed that its occupation of Gaza had ended, but also acknowledged that Gaza was not a sovereign state. It labeled Gaza as a "hostile entity," a status that neither grants Palestinians the right to self-governance and self-protection, nor obliges Israel to protect Gaza's civilian population. Israel uses this argument to deny Palestinians of full self-governance as well as the use of military force to suppress any resistance to Israeli control.[112]
Following the withdrawal, Israel continued to maintain direct control over Gaza's air and maritime space, six of Gaza's seven land crossings, maintains a no-go buffer zone within the territory, controls the Palestinian population registry, and Gaza remains dependent on Israel for its water, electricity, telecommunications, and other utilities.[13][113]

You can scream and cry all you want with your FAFO vulgarity but people like me will always be here to put the facts back in your face (and everyone else’s).

I'm not the one screaming and crying.
I think war is unfortunate but this is war.
A war hamas started.
A war that will not end until hamas surrenders or is destroyed.

Israel just doesn't care what the anti-semites think anymore.
they once thought they could get evreyone to like them including the palestinians.
Now they know, the palestinians want them dead as surely as the nazis did and the rest of the world would just stand by and watch just as they did 80 years ago.
Sure they'd feel bad about it afterwards like they did last time but they prefer the lives of their children over the sympathy of strangers.
I wish Hamas felt the same way but they would rather...

When is Israel going to surrender to Hamas? Only 6 days left. Oh no …guess that is what happens when you lose a war.

Israel’s Ben-Gvir says Gaza ceasefire plan is a ‘surrender’ to Hamas
Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s far-right national security minister, says the advancing Gaza ceasefire talks constitute a ‘surrender deal to Hamas’ adding that if the deal passes, he will resign from the Israeli government.

https://www.aljazeera.com/program/newsfeed/2025/1/14/ben-gvir-says-ceasefire-plan-is-a-surrender-to-hamas

FAFO loser.

Some extremists want to sacrifice the hostages to finish this war a bit earlier.
But Israel has made it clear that this ceasefire is temporary and last only during hamas' good behavior.
Giving peace a chance is not crazy.
But ultimately Hamas has to be destroyed
