I don't think it needed to be so long

Agree. Just watched it. Could have been slightly shorter and still been awesome.

Why are they so insufferable. Loved the movie but I can't stand them

I may watch it eventually but the marketing around it has been so annoying and aggressive I think it all needs to die down before I can consider watching it

Totally agree. Reviews are good but everyone I see the marketing and interviews I think “nope.” Also dislike Ariana’s costuming and look for the movie a lot.

Yes, the movie covers only Act I of the musical, even though it's as long as the whole musical. You have to wait a year to see Act II.

What a terrible idea.

It’s just such an obvious cash grab that it instantly turns me off from the film.

So movies shouldn't make money?

Did I say that? Why don’t you take that stick out of your ass. They do it so one movie makes twice as much money. It’s cynical and stupid and bloats the whole production.

It’s not done to make the best movie possible.

I shouldn't be surprised but, I think your comment is so over the top angry over nothing.

I am going to wish you a happy Thanksgiving in spite of your crudeness.

I’ll tell you what it is. It’s challenging an observation that is absolutely accurate (that the whole two part movie release thing is a complete cash grab) and with something that was completely NOT said or even implied. Of course no one makes movies for free. People here cannot for five seconds resist trying to start a stupid debate and it gets old really fast.

You shouldn’t be surprised at all when its treated with disgust.

If you can't handle an simple remark than perhaps you aren't ready for a civil discourse. Than again considering our country's new leaders I shouldn't be surprised at the outright lack of civility and crudeness.

Hope you had a happy thanksgiving amyway.

I don’t owe you civility in an anonymous forum of whiners.

I think he was fine. I don't like he betrayed his family but I can seperate the actor from the man

I didn't even know about the scandal and I thought he was creepy!

Saw it yesterday with Mom, Sis, Teen Dd, Tween Niece and Kid Nephew. Mom, sis and I all knew the show soundtrack but had never seen it. We all loved it! Nephew got a bit antsy but didn’t complain. I did use the restroom during “Not that girl”. Cast was phenomenal! It’s a visual feast!

The marketing was so bad that I thought the movie would be awful and I didn't even really want to see it.

But we went with some friends yesterday and it is SO GOOD. I didn't even notice how long it was.

Went to see it yesterday

Hate movie theaters, but I thought this was a movie I was glad to have seen in a theater. I enjoyed it.

The time zipped by for me and I'm not someone who can tolerate movies usually.

You will enjoy AI actors eventually.

They have no personal lives.

It later shows the lineage connection to the Wizard when he does the same dance. DNA doesn’t lie.

Wait - is the wizard her actual bio father?

My daughter wanted to see this so I sucked it up. I had no desire at all to see it, wasn't a fan of the casting, etc.

I absolutely loved it. Arianna Grande and Cynthia Erivo are just amazing. The production is so good.
