Assuming that inflation has “stabilized to normal,” prices are still ridiculously high bc the cost to produce the goods has also increased thanks to inflation. Meanwhile people’s salaries have not increased at the same rate and a lot of people are struggling. The stock market rise means nothing to most people. And to those of us fortunate enough to be investing in it, Harris wants to tax us on those unrealized gains. Taxing unrealized gains would be a disaster for our economy and country’s future growth.
