What happens to Kamala’s momentum now the DNC is over?

Repetition does not make nonsense questions valid.

The news agencies are looking for headlines, that is not the same thing as a message that is landing.

People stop to stare at car crashes every day.

If you watched the DNC convention, you would know that reproductive rights are central to the campaign but it’s a nonsense question to ask what her position is? That’s ridiculous.

She has to come out of the shadows now. And her main problem is that Biden-Harris have been in the White House for 12 of the past 16 years and everyone agrees the country is heading in the wrong direction on multiple fronts. So, that’s really awkward for her.

Call her stupid all you want. She’s not. She’s a former prosecutor who has run a campaign with amazing message discipline— and discipline, period. It’s going to be an amazing contrast to Trumps rambling and erratic behavior.

Plus, she’s younger than Trump and much more attractive. I think the visual of youth v age and Trump rambling and her shrugging, saying she can’t respond because he’s incoherent and weird and looking younger and better is a JFK v Nixon moment.

She does not need to be policy heavy to win because Trump’s main policies are grievances and retribution. Her upbeat campaign will do well against that.

Plus, Trump is on his heels. He has yet to find a good response to her. None of his insults are sticking. He can’t even land a good nickname.

Maybe I’m wrong. But, I think Trump looks like Biden did in his first debate when he goes against her. Definitely think more people than normal will tune is.

What is her message though? Other than criticizing Trump and throwing out some grand ideas she can never accomplish, what’s her platform?

1. Not Trump
2. No insurrections
3. Pro-choice.
4. Pro-NATO
5. Pro-Israel, but has separated herself from Biden on Gaza
6. Child Tax Credit

Etc. You realize she has a website with her policies, yes. Google is your friend.

That is, BTW is much more coherent than Trump, who has no policy positions.

What is her pro choice policy proposal?

I'm sure it's similar to this, which would codify Roe as Federal law: https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/senate-bill/701

In fact, her campaign has publicly stated that this is her position. Restore Roe via law.

Should help Trump? Yes I agree. Kamala is scared of policy.

Snort. Trump rambled like crazy racist grandpa for 92 min in his acceptance speech. Kamala had a sharp coherent 36 min policy narrative that played very well with undecided voters. I’m not worried.

Here you go, DNC party platform
https://democrats.org/news/dnc-releases-2024-party-platform-draft-outlining-historic-record-and-bold-agenda-for-president-biden-and-vice-president-harris-to-finish-the-job/

Yes, it was released before Harris was moved to the top slot but it's still the party platform.

Trump's is Project 2025.

+1

Inviting more clowns into the clown car is not going to help Trump.

Lol. Brainworm — cravenly trying to sell the attractions of his name to whichever party is desperate enough to bite — really will have no impact on the momentum of the campaign.

Harris will now be touring the country to introduce herself to voters as the official candidate. The deep bench of talented Democrats will be supporting her campaign. The prospect of debates will also help continue the excitement.

Meanwhile, Vance will say or do yet another thing to antagonize yet another chunk of Trump’s base; Trump will continue to rant to increasingly bored and increasingly small audiences; and Kennedy will be jostling with Vance —and maybe Eric and Don Jr. — in attempts to show Trump that they are worthy of his shaky attentions.

What is his, other than retribution? Build a wall and Mexico will pay for it? He torpedoed a bipartisan border bill.

WRT to the Republicans' complaint that Kamala has not yet released extensive policy proposals: Kamala has had quite a lot to do recently. She's had to choose a running mate, prepare for the convention, and start campaigning, all within a couple of weeks. I'm glad she hasn't come up with lots of detailed policy proposals yet. GOOD, effective policy takes time to develop. I'm sure she'll unveil more detailed policy positions over the next month or so.

Trump’s policy positions are detailed in project 2025. Those policies may have been authored by others but they are magas platform.

I’m so confused and enraged at this continuous double standard- not just on here but with the media. Kamala can’t give stump speeches and has to be incredibly definitive on every single policy and Trump does not have to be? Nobody asks him to outline in coherent sentences his policies. If people can’t look on the websites but rather demand a verbal explanation in interviews or in speeches from Kamala then they should have that same exacting standard for Trump and pin him down to actually answer in a damn understandable and coherent way.

Detailed policy happens after inauguration.
Or if you’re Trump, you just say you’ll have some details in two weeks… and just keep saying you’ll get to it in two weeks, never get to it and no one seems to care.

But Ask Warren or HRC how detailed policy played with voters before an election.
Elections are won on sweeping vision not details.
