Another anti- theist who displays no tolerance for the beliefs of others. An anti- theist who does not respect the beliefs of the entire world’s population. They had to disrespect everyone who is religious, not just Christians. You are welcome to have your own opinion about religion, but you should treat your fellow man with respect. Calling all religions a “pox” on the planet is very rude to everyone who has religious faith. I don’t know how you feel comfortable saying things like that. It’s too arrogant to believe you have the ability to judge every person in the world as bad because they are religious. You don’t like religious people, and think all religions and religious people are bad? Are you rsure of your opinion that every religious person is a pox? |
Lets address your points individually:
Yes, I have no respect for people who believe in ancient mythology while empowering those who seek to take constitutional rights away from others. No respect. None. Nada. If that is you, then too bad, you are entitled to your belief and I am entitled to believe you are part of a gigantic problem, explicitly or tacitly.
I respect the person but not the belief. I bet that sounds familiar to you!
Too bad! Is it bad to call racism a pox because many people hold those beliefs?
This point you are correct on. I do not discriminate against Christians specifically. I think they are all a problem, and that is pretty clear to me. That goes for Islam, Judaism, Scientology, and any others. |
Would not want my public schools pushing religion. |
Gidamit! There, I just broke one. |
I don't want them pushing wokeism, protesting during school hours for class credit, pushing climate justice studies over STEM, and erasing the basics they need to succeed in the workforce in favor of the left's agenda. So here we are. |
^you are as intolerant and bigoted as the evangelical Christians you call intolerant and bigoted.
There is no place in America for bigots. You are very proud to be bigoted against billions of people. I respect your right to not like religion, but I don’t like or respect the complete disregard and disrespect you feel and display for your fellow man. |
Having or showing the content of the old stone tablets in a public school is not the problem; a government mandating that they must be displayed is a problem. |

So is OK for you to be bigoted against racists, who we both agree are awful, but not OK for me to be bigoted against an ideology I feel is just as harmful to the world? Your logic is not sound. That's a "respectful" response. The world will be a much better place when people don't have belief in ancient myths. If you find that opinion "disrespectful", well then that's your baggage, not mine. Are you telling me you don't think the world will be a better place when women don't have to wear burkas and have the same rights as men? Please answer this question to continue the discussion. |
Except one is explicitly prohibited by the constitution and one is not. Do you see that difference? So there you are. |
First of all, that’s BS. The laws of the US are based on English common law and Roman law much more than the Ten Commandments. Second of all, what other “foundational historical documents” are required to be slapped on the wall of every classroom? |
I don’t think that you have to like religion. You can hate religion, every religion But your hatred for religion is translating into hatred and disrespect for your fellow man. If you feel that way towards every religious person on the planet, I saw with sincerity, I think that reflects upon you and not the people of the world. Other people’s beliefs should not drive you to hatred. We can’t and won’t ever have the same beliefs. I can’t imagine hating everyone I disagreed with. Having so much hatred inside you will make you very unhappy. |
Religious freedom means that you have the right to worship whomever and whatever you want with no persecution. It does not mean that you can use religious freedom to deny other's their rights, create laws that favor your religion, or in this case, push for your religion to be in a public space. If a student wants to read the Ten Commandments privately, they are certainly allowed to. Perhaps you need to learn what religious freedom is before get all sanctimonious on the rest of us. |
You will have to email the gov of LA and argue with him. |
I am not doing any of those things so don’t worry about me. I promise I am not the Governor of Louisiana posting anonymously on dcum. Haha. |
