Well, for one, the first commandment shames anyone that is not Christian. Moreover, it clearly go against the First Amendment, which establishes the separation of church and state. This is essentially the right-wing trying to establish Christian Nationalism. |
Except the 1st Amendment clearly states that we are not a Christian nation. If you want a Christian nation, go create one. Only problem is that you'll actually have to act like a Christian is so-said nation. |
Saying murder is bad doesn’t shame anyone. Nobody is being forced to be Christian or abide by the Ten Commandments. |
“The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.”
- John Adams, founding father and first vice-president |
Well you can teach your children the Ten Commandments are shameful and that they are free to do everything the Ten Commandments says not to do, with pride. Problem solved. |
Ok, don’t be a Christian. Problem solved again. You are fine. |
This should be interesting, this might stop school shootings. One thing we are missing is starting the day with the lord prayer. My friend post picture on Facebook saying, NO school that prayer before the start of the school day and has the ten commandment had a school shooting. So if this what we have to do to stop this is a good idea. |
It can’t hurt. |
Where do you get that anyone is saying the Ten Commandments are shameful? No one is saying that. |
So are you good when the Imam shows up to do a prayer in school? |
School shootings can happen in any school, whether secular or religious. For example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Nashville_school_shooting |
The first four are irrelevant junk about idols and gods and sabbath day. The rest of them are universal human virtues not unique to Judeochristian religion. |
There have been a lot of mass shootings in churches and synagogues |
