Also in the article it states there are 100,000 Chinese with final deportation orders, however, China won't take them back as the article states: "In the past, American diplomats have tried to work with the Chinese government to persuade it to repatriate its citizens, and the response has tended to be the same. “They would just plain refuse to acknowledge the person was Chinese,” said Michele Thoren Bond, a former assistant secretary of state who worked on these issues. “It is not credible that a country that documents and monitors its citizens as closely as China does not have photos of every citizen,” Ms. Bond added. So picture if 24,000 Chinese successfully make it to the United States just in this year through the Southern Border and can't be deported because China refuses to take them back, they get work visas in 6 months because they claim asylum, and they post like crazy on social media about their journey. How many will come next year? |
| So what would you do with them? They are human beings. |

Nope it is code for MAGA holding Congress and government funding hostage to culture war BS … the MAGA wing are close to anarchists and believe themselves and their cult leader to be above the law … … |
Democracy is a comically easy system to hack. If your current electorate doesn’t vote correctly, just import a new one. |
| Trumpers don’t care about values or patriotism. They care about trump. He could be on video murdering people, and they would still vote for him. |
Spoken like someone who doesn't understand that people in the US illegally stay in the shadows, work for cash and do not "register to vote" and cannot otherwise vote or receive benefits. |
Come on. Stop gaslighting. Your guys are completely dysfunctional. House Republicans don’t even negotiate in good faith with each other. They couldn’t elect a Speaker. They couldn’t get the votes to bring their own dumb bills to the House floor. In what alternate universe are they going to negotiate immigration policy with Democrats and then vote for a compromise bill? |
|
So this is why we have curtains. Also, MEN are the problem, don't care where they are from. |
I really don't know where this assumption comes from that new migrants will vote for Democrats. They all come from conservative societies and are more likely to vote for Republicans with whom their values more closely align--if they vote at all. We're not "importing" liberals that will reliably vote for Democrats, that's for sure. |
| They will always vote democrat for free sh!t. You leftists have opened America’s a$$ wide open for the world to gangrape the taxpayers financially. |
Again, people who are here illegally do not "get free sh!t" - they work for cash and stay in the shadows and do not put themselves "into the system" |
| We know the problem. What's the solution? |
| Trump isn't a solution for anything which works well in long term. |
No that’s how it used to be. Now they realize you can game the system. So many have kids born here so they are US citizens and get benefits for them. In some states they get free health care even if you are illegal. And the current wave of immigrants are not illegal. The vast majority are applying for asylum so they don’t stay in the shadows because they don’t need to. They are clamoring fir resources and help. Look at New York City and Chicago. Biden repealed Trumps public charge rules that he was enforcing. You aren’t supposed to be able to immigrate if you are going to be a public charge and cost the US money. The sponsor is supposed to pay. Enacted in 2019, Trump’s public charge rule imposed stricter financial requirements on would-be immigrants to the U.S. The rule directed federal immigration authorities to decline green cards and visas to applicants who were likely to become reliant on public aid — and expanded the universe of immigrants who fell into that category. The US is one of the very few countries that allows a citizen’s elderly poor parents to immigrate because it will end up costing the US so much money. Instead parents get priority over siblings who could add to the economy. |
