I don’t spend all day thinking about it like you guys do so forgive me if I don’t have a researched list of restrictions to serve up to you. But I do think that the whole immigration system needs to be overhauled—that reform is long overdue—and that it will require bipartisan action, something that is unlikely to happen anytime soon. I don’t believe in quick fixes, especially those promised by Donald Trump. TBH, right now [b]I’m more focused on preserving our democracy than worrying about our borders.[/b][/quote]

Democracy is a comically easy system to hack.

I really don't know where this assumption comes from that new migrants will vote for Democrats. They all come from conservative societies and are more likely to vote for Republicans with whom their values more closely align--if they vote at all. We're not "importing" liberals that will reliably vote for Democrats, that's for sure. [/quote]
