The funny thing is, Trump's father was conceived in Germany and possibly born there, or born shipboard on the way back to the US. And Trump's himself is the child of an immigrant. And he married two immigrants.

I posted the two things above but I want to make it clear, I don't actually believe that immigrants are less American than me, who has 20-odd Revolutionary war patriots and whose family was at both Plymouth Rock and Jamestown.

That's kind of the point of America--this is a place where people have always come to escape the tribal conflicts that tore apart nations elsewhere. Some came willingly. Some did not. But again, the point of America is the dream of an equal playing field.

That's a dream worth sustaining.

People like Trump, who play with a the idea of a lineage they're not even a part of... they don't deserve it.
