Maret is good. They're not a powerhouse but they're definitely good and will only get better. Our school played them last year and they have a great offense. Should be even better this year as their star players were their Jr QB and some standout Freshman. We don't have them on our schedule for this year and we're happy about that. Not sure how they're as good as they are with as small as their US is.

Thank you for the response from the Maret PR department.

FWIW, Maret has had an impressive team the last few years.

Ha! Not at all. My son plays football for another school. Pretty easy to guess if you look at details I gave. My son did play on a 7:7 league with one of Maret's now 10th graders so I know 3-4 of their players well. Why must every positive post be about PR or boosterism? Why can't people just give props when due? I can also tell you how good SAES bball team looks as well as Bullis.

Exactly. None of us knows what happened.

And it will be difficult to find out what happened because key STA details are immediately deleted on here. There’s apparently a customized vanish mode.

Unless you mean lucky or fortunate to have received aid or some other means to allow them to pursue an education there. Or fortunate to have parents who sacrifices for the experience. Not everyone there is an entitled rule breaking arrogant snob as you seems to wish to believe.

High schoolers are kids. They're young yes, but not kids anymore. Infantilizing them doesn't help our society.

There is nothing mysterious. You just don't appeared to have read the thread. I've twice asked that posters not speculate or post rumors. In case the implication of my posts was not clear, I have been and will continue to delete posts that don't adhere to this request.

I don't have kids at STA (for real), but the STA parents and boys seem to universally love the school and the HOS so I think it is admirable that they don't trash their school. Clearly a young man has made a mistake of some kind - let him, his family and school deal with it appropriately, which is what they seem to be doing.

Don't be super impressed - the STA posters who weighed in and spilled the beans (whether they were the real beans or not was unclear) had their posts deleted and appropriately so.

Would they have won? DJO's team is improving but their starting QB is injured.

DJO is bad.

They lost to Saint Stephens

Has SSSA always been bad in football? I saw they just lost by 40ish to Maret. Or is Maret that good?

SSSAS finished 2nd in the IAC last year. But they lost a lot of size and really have a small team in terms of numbers and size.

They did beat O'connell pretty well in week 1.

Maret played very well against SSSAS. They are well-coached and it showed. The SSSAS defense had nothing against the Maret offense. I would bet Maret wins the MAC this year.

And how do you know that?

Why wouldn't they?

That’s a laughable statement. Do you think they’re putting pressure on every editor in the country and on every blogger?

Yes, I forgot about EHS.

SSSAS beat Landon and St. Albans but lost to Bullis and Prep. I completely forgot about EHS. D'oh. I remember Prep beat SSSAS to win 2nd outright. Thanks for correcting me.
