DP. I hope the rumor I heard is not accurate because if so it implies more than one person was involved for it to have happened.

That’s why they need to get out the truth asap because it is tainting the team.

Of course more than one kid was involved. They wouldn't have canceled a game because of just one kid's actions.

I assume it is not that serious since they are back to practice and games are on.

That doesn't follow. It involved a few boys, not all. That doesn't mean it's not serious as to the boys involved.

Everyone is still on the team and practicing so hopefully that means not too serious.

This is a lengthy thread. Sta knew this could happen. They knew this could happen at football camp. The reason is: it happened before. I repeat, it happened before. Police were involved. So. Is everyone playing at the Jackson Reed game? If the rumor I heard from DD is true (can’t imagine it is because it is horrible — not the 2/10 or 4/10 ranking earlier posters reported— and I understand why the police were called) if there is any truth to it not everyone should be playing for sure.

I don’t think what you say occurred happened before at least not in recent years. Friends sons were on the team and they are unaware of anything involving police. School would have had to tell parents if police were involved?

Why are so many people on here are so quick to blame the school for the actions of usually a small number of students? As parents, WE are the primary influencers of our children’s behavior. IF the police are involved in whatever happened, it sounds like the school acted upon the allegations and didn’t ‘sweep it under the rug.’ In response to whoever asked if the Post knows - the entity that likely will sweep it under the rug is the Post which only likes to report on one school. Does anyone wonder what happened with the on campus sexual assault allegation at Sidwell? We never heard about it again. Because #Sidwell
