There is no shame that hard-working, well-qualified kids from more MSs now have access to TJ. |
Stop just paste and copy |
Source/ any data to support your comment? Why do you need quota then? Why not compete fairly with others? |
I don’t hate rich people; I very likely make more than you. But I don’t think my kids are any more entitled to a seat at a particular school than anyone else. And I don’t expect that I get extra police services just because I pay more property taxes than you. |
A significant portion of FCPS parents are first-generation immigrants working in stem professions, many having attained bachelor's degrees in their home countries, studying in their native languages. Once in US, they pickup necessary English academic and technical writing skills, but most may lack swift typing and texting abilities with proper grammar. This discrepancy is more pronounced among immigrants outside STEM fields, like in landscaping, handyman services, etc. Pointing this out would be in poor taste, unless one intends to display racial prejudice against foreign born immigrants. |
All kids met GPA/course criteria. These kids have higher GPAs, on average, than before the change. |
Stop posting lies. |
Then why there are quotas in the system? You still don't want to admit the reality. |
You are a pathetic liar, panhandler |
There aren’t race-based quotas. There are seats open to all MSs - if and only if they have qualified applicants. |
Sorry, the truth can be a bitter pill to swallow. The current admissions process is NOT race-based. And Asians students have the highest number of admits and the highest rate of admission. No discrimination. |
Good point. If the immigrants get learn English and get a bachelor's/PhD, why the kids grown up here can not do well on tests? Whom do they learn it from all the entitlement BS? |
Hopefully the kids learn more about how taxes work. |
It is not fair. It is a process that promotes laziness and penalizes meritocracy. Sorry, you are so dumb. Now I understand why you need quotas to stay afloat. |
Not likely |
