Maret and former Whittle students?

Cause the only person who cares is someone who hangs on a message board without kids in the school and behind a keyboard.

Keep telling yourself that.

Genuine question: who would not care? I know that other parents care too, and don’t like the choice but fear sticking their neck out. Especially with someone you obviously can’t trust.

That’s rich coming from someone doing the same.

The stuff that has come out since the decision was made (well before Whittle collapsed) is enough to reconsider.

Because aside from the 2% of parents who read DCUM, no one cares nor are they concerned. Parents at Maret tend to be reasonable and level headed and so likely wouldn’t take to conspiracy theories tossed around by anonymous internet trolls.

Patently false!! And wouldn't it be a joy for this to actually be "conspiracy theories". That nonsensical allegation does a great disservice to the students, families, and faculty left in Whittle's wake. There is nothing theoretical about it; there is a series of FACTS which anyone who is "reasonable" can use to conclude leadership should be unwelcomed at a school of Maret's stature. What an awful decision Maret has made and I am certain there are more than "2%" of parents who agree!

Are you sure she was getting paid? Other staff members weren’t. At the end of the day, she was just the “help”. She didn’t make any decisions or call any shots.

Allegedly, but you can Google it:
Paid at the highest level of employees/staff from before the start through the end of the school, benefits, free or reduced tuition for the child; also on the Advisory board
Official Whittle doc 21-22 says: Special Advisor the HoS
Also: member of the especially set up financing committee which had a privileged access to all the financials and decision-making, as well as representative of the faculty and staff to that committee (a role that many facility and staff say was one sided misleading them in favor of Whittle), appointed by Chris Whittle in Nov/Dec 21 and served through July 22 when Maret HoS tweeted that really strangely timed tweet advising not to say anything if nothing nice to say
All googlable, in Whittle records, and Washington Business Journal; well worth paying $4 imho — an eye opener

Yet her linkedin claims she was just an outreach person from Dec 2018-Sep 2021 leaving out a full year of evident and deep engagement in the Whittle collapse

Nobody made either HoS or his wife fudge their official bios they wrote themselves. Yet another reason imho why they’re a #badchoice4Maret

The bios will now change...watch.

I think there are questions re professional judgement I would have flagged had I been on the committee to approve the HOS or the headhunter who put the finalist profiles together for their client. Two examples easily surfaced:

The conflict of interest in Dennis pitching the Maret committee on the opportunities in the DC area for a school like Whittle..and how he could bring his DC marketplace savvy to the school to help them capture those opportunities while his wife was sitting in confidential meetings on the Whittle finances.

Also..can't say I disagree with the sentiment, but the judgement of a public leader retweeting this kind of tit-for-tat profanity seems way off:

Dennis retweeted this:
"#MichaelLofthouse is the jacka$$ who hurled racist slurs at an Asian family in a restaurant.
It would be a shame if you retweeted this and his company #Solid8 lost business because nobody wants to deal with a racist a$$hole.
So DON'T retweet this."

I’m the P-PP. I’m not their CPA so don’t know but don’t see how you could be doing all these things for all these years and not be paid? Anyway my information is all from why I can recollect and from the public sources plus my opinion which is that this all seems scandalous and worth the scrutiny. But I would be very interested in hearing from the people who lived that last year or two? Lots hasn’t been told yet.

Was that really the sell? That’s crazy! Maret has no enrollment problem. But it seems to have a HoS problem.
