E. Palestine is not in his district.

Correct. It is Bill Johnson's. And, he has been on the ground there since day 1.

You know who else has been there? Sherrod Brown and JD Vance.

You know who hasn't been there? The guy in charge of transportation (like trains). Mayor Pete.

They don't want Pete there and you gaslighting us about it only makes you look really pitiful.

They don't????

That is called gaslighting, Hon.

What do you want Pete to do? The rail industry undermined safety measures, undoing Obama era "burdensome" regulations. A toxic gas leak due to faulty brakes was inevitible. In fact, it happened again yesterday in Michigan. If you want action, support democrats who care about the public and oublic safety and things like the environment and stop blaming the gay guy who cannot control the bad actions of the private sector, no matter how much the right wants to try.

Oh, hon..... Democrats have shown us the past two years that they are simply unable to effectively do what the American public needs.... they don't want government running their lives, but they do want government to do what it is designed to do..... public safety. Between these environmental disasters, the dead whales off the coast due to wind farms, the incessant push for green energy to the point that encourages the CCP to infiltrate our American companies, the open borders allowing millions of migrants to flood our borders, the fentanyl coming into our country across the borders killing hundreds of thousands of Americans......It is evident that Democrats talk a good game but when push comes to shove, cannot deliver. Biden has some of the most ineffective cabinet members ever...... Mayor Pete, Xavier Becerra, Jennifer Granholm, Alejandro Mayorkas, Kamala Harris....... it is a competition for the most ineffective and incompetent member......

We can’t deliver because we have an entire propaganda machine generating constant outrage and that blocks any meaningful progress. Why aren’t US companies outcompeting China? It’s because of misinformation like you are spreading that green energy sources are somehow worse than burning coal. Some wind turbines to you must be blocked for spurious reasons but you don’t say a single word about the mountaintop removal coal mining that is the alternative. Or climate change for that matter. You are the one standing in the way. Not Democrats.

I seriously hope that the light being shed on Fox News in the Dominion case opens people's eyes that Fox lies about.every.single.issue.

So? He doesn't care about fellow Buckeyes? That'd be typical and par for the course for Republicans, because most Republicans are complete sociopaths who don't care about anyone who isn't like them or isn't from their own immediate clan and circle. This just again proves it.

No, we are talking about cartels, honey. Mexican cartels who are making billions off our open border.

No you made the claim that Fentanyl is caused by liberals and the immigration issue. We are merely proving you wrong. Woosh right over your head.

Where do Americans who deal drugs in the US get their supply? C'mon.... think hard.

You are failing to udnerstand that a lot of the Fentanyl epidemic is fueled by domestic pharamacueticals and right wingers. How about we take care of things inside our borders first?

"Mexican TCOs (transnational criminal organizations) serve as the principal source of the illicit fentanyl and methamphetamines fueling the drug overdose epidemic in the United States. TCOs manufacture these drugs using precursor chemicals sourced from China and other foreign nations."

Tell us that border control has nothing to do with national security.

Fox is told that they are typically processed for expedited removal unless they claim to have a credible fear of persecution if returned to the country — where the Chinese Communist Party holds power.

As a result, many are claiming that fear and are subsequently being released into the U.S. on their own recognizance and with a notice to appear for a court date for their immigration hearings.

The DHS is on the lookout for potential Chinese spies and other national security threats arriving at the southern border.

.... And, I have ZERO confidence that DHS is capable of doing this.......

FedEx

Fentanyl got its start as mail order from China. You hold some pretty strong opinions for someone who doesn’t know the basic outline of the issue in the first place.

That used to be true, but no more.

In October 2018, President Donald Trump signed a bipartisan package of bills on opioid addiction that he called “the single largest bill to combat the drug crisis in the history of our country.”

The Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT) for Patients and Communities Act allocates resources for treatment and prevention, including increased support for mothers and inmates. Notably, the bill puts $6 billion toward opioid addiction prevention, treatment, and other ancillary problems related to abuse.

Included in the bill is the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, which aims at curbing the flow of opioids sent through the mail system, and increases the coordination between the U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

The STOP Act would require that all mail from foreign countries coming through the U.S. Postal Service have package-level detail. It would also require accurate advanced electronic data (AED) for international mail shipments to be submitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection before shipping.

Under pressure from the Trump administration, China was forced to increase the compliance rate for submitting international package data.

According to feedback from the United States Postal Service (USPS) executives, the volume of inbound shipments from China with AED increased to 85 percent in May 2019 from 32 percent in October 2017.

The postal service said the STOP Act significantly improved its ability to seize fentanyl and synthetic opioids from the U.S. Mail.

According to an August 2021 report (pdf) released by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, Chinese fentanyl producers sought new ways to evade regulation. Every time Beijing puts a fentanyl substance on its control list (to meet U.S. requests), Chinese manufacturers modify that compound to create a new fentanyl-related product.

To evade U.S. regulations, Chinese fentanyl producers shifted their primary market to Mexico. Mexican cartels use precursor compounds imported from China to manufacture large quantities of fentanyl products, which are then smuggled into the United States.

Mexican drug trafficking organizations have previously been involved in producing opium poppy, a flowering plant used in the production of heroin. But as Mexican authorities stepped up efforts to eradicate the country’s poppy fields, the drug cartels turned to synthetic fentanyl, which is much cheaper to obtain the ingredients and highly profitable.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the amount of fentanyl seized by the agency skyrocketed from 2020 to 2022. In the year ending September 2022, CBP seized a record 14,700 pounds of fentanyl, compared with 11,200 pounds in 2021 and 4,800 pounds in 2020.

And the Mexicans use right wingers as their mules.

So the circle is complete.

Well, unlike Democrats who go with the mantra of "Fire, ready, aim," the Republicans are holding hearings (on the border, now) to find out from border agents and residents what is needed fpr a strong border security bill. Biden has f'ed things up so badly that what would have worked 3 years ago won't cut it today.
One thing is sure... it will not include any kind of amnesty for those here illegally. There will be no consideration of this until our border is secure.

My single issue is economic support of the low income. So far democrats have performed much better on this front.

I'll let you into a little secret: Republicans don't want to solve the immigration problem. It's one of their signature issues. It whips up their base every time. It would make zero sense politically to try to solve the problem. They just like tough optics and tough talk on the subject from the likes of Trump and others.

My prediction.... they will draft a bill that will severely cut the amount of illegal immigration we are experiencing. It will pass in the House. Schumer will not bring it to a vote in the Senate. And, if by some miracle he does, Biden will veto it.

Because, this unmitigated illegal immigration is all part of Biden's plan.

This is what the Democrats on this forum refuse to accept. They claim "Republicans keep voting no" on border security bills. This is because every bill Democrats present includes amnesty for illegal immigrants. I'm wondering when they'll get it through their heads that this is unacceptable and is holding up border security/immigration reform.
