It makes me happy because I'm SO sick of seeing people online talking about how the Moscow PD had no idea what they were doing, blah, blah, blah. Egg on their faces. They knew exactly what they were doing. They kept leaks contained and kept everything close to the vest. They let it get out that there were no witnesses to keep BK from spooking. They kept saying they were looking for the white car while already knowing exactly where the car was the whole time and having it under surveillance.

The keyboard detectives need to give it a rest and go back to trying to solve cold cases. Leave the active ones to those who are trained.

This. Also to keep the witness safe. Its still crazy that he left her alive. I still think they would have caught him without her, but why did he just walk out and leave her? Odd.

If these were in fact his first murders, he may have been in some kind of shock.

I wasn’t sure before today, but reading how terribly sloppy he was, I totally think he thought he knew what he was doing and was overconfident and majorly FUBAR’d the whole thing. I think it was absolutely his first time. Talk about hubris.

She came out three times to see what was going on. You got it correct

Okay, so per the affidavit she heard a thump, opened her door, thought it was a roommate playing with the dog. Then hears Xana crying and the "Don't worry I'm here to help you", opens door again. Then it's quiet, opens door a third time and sees him walking by. For whatever reason he does not attack her. She is anxious but unsure what it was all about, so locked herself in her room and went to sleep. Wakes up 7-ish hours later, texts her roommates, then realizes something bad did happen and calls 911.

We know Xana was awake. He must have killed her boyfriend first (the thump?) and she was terrified but was in shock and cried rather than screamed. He must have incapacitated her quickly since it was then quiet. The others were murdered in their sleep, so no noise.

I bet they wanted to see what he’d do with the car, if anything. He was being watched, so I’m sure he incriminated himself.

I’m sure the fbi has enough to do, but every small town sheriff should call the fbi for help. It’s just unreasonable to expect a Barney fife sheriff to put together a quality homicide investigation in a town where the last murder was almost a decade ago. So many crimes go unsolved in small times because the police are over their heads.

Only Moscow PD handled this one correctly right off the bat, without their help, so…

They did call Idaho State Police right away though.

Yes, seems likely. Pretty stupid to target a group home to begin with, so many possible contingencies. Maybe he thought everyone would be asleep at 4AM though?

They didn’t hand it off though, it was still their case.

2 surviving roomates. One on the second floor who saw him. One on the first floor who didn't.

Wonder why he went upstairs. I always thought both surviving roommates were on the first floor.

Did anyone watch the body cam video of the traffic stop in Indiana? I thought the dad’s behavior was weird. Lots of sharing of extraneous information with the cop - people tend to do that when they are nervous and lying.

Anonymous wrote:I wonder WTAF Bryan Kohberger's parents are thinking today. This was part of their statement, "We will continue to let the legal process unfold and as a family we will love and support our son and brother. We have fully cooperated with law enforcement agencies in an attempt to seek the truth and promote his presumption of innocence rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions."

Are they now thinking, "Holy shit, that's some damning evidence!"

I am sure today is even worse for them than the day he was arrested becuase I don’t know how you read that affidavit and not think to yourself, my God he’s a mass murderer.

I'm sure they are utterly grief-stricken and horrified, as any parents would be.

Yes, but mainly because her description was startlingly accurate and therefore damning.

I totally get random guys may have come and gone. But dressed in black with a MASK!

Right? I’m picturing him driving up and passing the Door Dash driver on his way. It’s insane to me that he so obviously wasn’t casing the place, or he would have seen them get food and known people were awake. So many contingencies is right!

And if he was casing the place, was he so enraged and resolved that he didn’t care people were awake and boyfriends were over? So weird.

Someone wearing a surgical mask indoors in a liberal college town would NOT look out of place post-2020.

Has it been established he saw the surviving roommate?

He went back the next morning before they were found. Maybe to kill her off?

No. She saw him. That's established.

She didn't say he saw her.
