I'm originally from CA. When we moved to the DC area, we went to some fairs, like the Ag fair, Renaissance fair. I was shocked at how many obese people there were.
DC itself doesn't have many obese people. In general, cities don't have a lot of obese people. It's the suburbs and rural areas that have a lot of obese people.
But the south does have an outside share of cities with the most obesity, with TN leading the pack:
