Consider if you will a little bit straight from box with a dab of butter in the microwave. Permission to use more than a dab granted

WOW!!! I use it in meatloaf instead of bread crumbs

Great idea! Smacking my forehead.

+1 I think this deserves an award!

Pepperoni Pizza Lean Pockets with Frank's shaken into the pocket between bites
Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup, with the chicken picked out, and tons of crumbled crackers (Ritz being the best)
Campbell's vegetarian vegetable soup
Yellow mahatma rice mix

Recently had pizza rolls and they were such a bummer! Not nearly as good as they were in my memory.

Just thought of another based on the breakfast thread -- TOASTER STRUDEL! OMG were those flaky bits of deliciousness with packet of icing just delicious.

I loved the chicken and broccoli hot pockets too.

Also, fried spam sandwich on Sunbeam.

Anonymous wrote:For everyone who loves Stove Top, I have a recipe I’ve used for years from some church cookbook. It hits multiple requirements of this thread lol.

Place chicken breast/tenders (seasoned) in a baking dish and layer slices of Swiss cheese on top. (In a pinch, any meaty white cheese will do.) Mix a can of Campbell’s cream of whatever you like soup with 1/2 can milk and 1/2 can white wine (can sub chicken stock but do wine if you have it) and pour this sauce over it. Then top with dry Stove Top mix and a stick of melted butter poured on that. Put it in the oven on 375 for 35-40 minutes for thinner chicken breasts. Serve it over rice, or another side of Stove Top made per instructions. It is so good.

This sounds so insane that I might have to try it. The cheese on top of the raw meat and then the can of soup?!

Yes the cheese gets gooey and melty that way because it has the chicken to stick to

My kid has recently discovered taquitos and now he loves them so we have them around. Those, with some salsa & sour cream, were my lunch today.

I also really love Mrs. Ts pierogies.

Oh, the BIG one for me: Nalley canned original Chili served over fritos with cheese on top. Basically a walking taco but it HAS to be Nalley's chili, which you can only find on the west coast. I always bring some back when I go visit my childhood home.

Why wouldn’t you eat what you like in moderation?

Not the PP, but it’s out of my calorie range. I LOVE Rice-a-Roni, though!

Oh! I'm trying this!!

Fun fact, I just recently learned I liked meatloaf. I grew up dreading meatloaf night as a kid & never made it as an adult. I went to a bday dinner party recently where it was served (bday guy's favorite food) and I couldn't get enough. I asked for the recipe later and then asked my mom for her recipe to compare... crackers! My mom uses saltines that she busts up and this woman used breadcrumbs. I didn't like my mom's meatloaf because I'd bite into chunks of soggy, gooey saltines.

I've now made meatloaf several times using different ground meats (beef, beef combo, turkey, chicken) and breadcrumbs and I've loved each one. My kids especially love ground turkey with Italian seasonings.

Oh my gosh I love meatloaf. My extended family has a “meatloaf ranking” system - Tier 1, Tier 2, etc - just like sports - for how often they get made. If you want a good meatloaf recipe I could share probably 12 tried-and-true ones.

I would love for you to start a separate meatloaf thread!

I’ve never actually had these but I loved their twitter during the bad years.

Dinty Moore Beef Stew is shockingly salty (like wake up with a dry mouth salty) but pretty decent.
Thank you to the blessed souls who reminded me of Stove Top, which, while not the same thing as my mother’s scratch-made butter-drenched side dish, is GD delicious and I will probably be planning a Thanksgiving themed meal around it (plus a sauce I make with canned cranberries).

Ramen Noodle Salad is half vegetable, half processed food. Does that count?

Favorite canned soup - Progresso clam chowder. It’s so thick I dilute it with some milk, then microwave and top with butter and oyster crackers. Delicious. Some of the Stouffer meals are surprisingly good. Lean Cuisine lasagna has been a reliable quick lunch over the years, as has Cup o Noodle chicken soup, despite the ridiculous sodium content. But I just don’t understand the love for Stovetop stuffing; it’s gummy and incredibly salty, which makes it pretty much inedible to me. Steakums are a rare guilty pleasure.

They made actual beef sheets last month and sold out in one day.
