BVR is requiring 5 year olds to wear KN95 masks

OP here. It would be great if the kids were allowed to remove their masks while running outside. My son runs all over the playground for hours. Can he do that while wearing a KN95 mask?

Weighed against the insignificant health risk of Covid to children I think this is absolutely the wrong decision and would seem more based on social cues than science.

You realize there are many countries where mask wearing as a courtesy is the norm, right? Are you suggesting that we’re going to have a population of asthmatics or something? Because we’d know that by now.

Yes. My kid has been doing this for nearly two years. At BVR. As have many others.

Are all other schools do the same?
Do you think 2 3-layers masks are easier for little kids than KN95 masks?

Science says the cloth masks are not as effective for Omicron. The kids really don't care, they adapt. Would you rather have a sick kid?

Honestly? If my kid got omicron and basically had a cold for a few days, then yes, I would rather that happen than the entire school forced to be gagged indefinitely.

Happy now?

They aren't gagging the kids.

If your kid got omicron and got MIS-C how would you feel then?

I'm really surprised you chose a school that teaches science, did you not do the research and miss that fact?

Odd of that in a vaccinated kid? Minuscule. Follow the science.

I did 60 minutes of power flow yoga in a 90 degree room today in one and I’m alive. Johnny will be fine!
