BVR is requiring 5 year olds to wear KN95 masks

My 6 yo actually wears them better than any other mask. They stay up, she says they are comfy and she wears one daily w/o issue.

Sorry, OP… I don’t understand why this is an issue for you?

My kids have been wearing a kn95 mask to school every day for months. They protect the wearer WAY more than surgical or cloth, and also protect others more.

Because I think it’s ridiculous. All kids are now vaccinated. All parents are boostered. Omicron is contagious, but milder (described like a mild cold). When does it end?!?!?
I lost all my patience at this point.

No one cares.

KF94s from Korea are so much more comfortable than cloth masks. I do think one of the reasons people in East Asia complain less about making is because the masks are so much easier to breathe through and comfortable. At the same time they’re far more effective

Parents of preK students at BVR beg to differ on ALL kids being vaccinated but that aside, it’s a private school and can do what it wants. You can cooperate or send your kids elsewhere.

Selfish and insensitive? Why??? I think I am just a normal logical person who thinks this N95 masks mandare are ridiculous.

So when will you both be notifying the school of your imminent withdrawal? Where are you heading next? Homeschooling sounds like a fit.

It’s ridiculous

Ah, you posted merely to spew your Covid denial. OK then.

You seem to be losing your mind. Get a grip. It’s 30 days. Not every kid in the school is vaccinated. The least the rest of our kids can do is do their part in as many ways as possible. If you don’t get that, I’m not sure the school and its teachings at the most fundamental level are a fit for your family.

OP, I get it. My kids’ private school is requiring kn94/n95 after break too, and I was frustrated because it feels like a step backwards. I want to keep kids safely in school though, and the reality is that right now this is what is required so we are all going to suck it up (I’m a teacher) and deal and hope we can move forward soon.
