| I actually don’t think people like OP need to quarantine/isolate. Let’s all start just carrying on. |
Absolutely, but only as soon as all are able to be offered the vaccine. |
+1. At some point it’s the most at risk people that need to protect themselves. They need to stay at home, avoid crowds and indoor places. We can’t hide for ever. If you are at risk, wear your masks, don’t meet up with friends, etc. I have no pre existing condition and I don’t really know anyone that does (perhaps not aware)… |
Which was months ago |
|
Perhaps it was allergies AND Covid?
Anyway, the lesson is to test as soon as you have any kind of symptom. |
Except for kids under 12. |

Why are people doubting this poster. It is entirely credible and I woud feel the same way as she does. I bet this is going on a lot right now.
Which is why I am still not eating indoors, unless I am with my household members. No indoor parties. It can all wait. |
Not true. It's possible to be contagious up to 10 days after start of symptoms. And what's with the "if at all"? If you progress to being symptomatic, you sure can spread it. So many stupid people!!!! |
|
We are cautious and we are still masking, social distancing, not meeting people indoors etc. We are all vaccinated.
We will probably get our annual flu shots in early August, so that we are protected till maybe December or Jan. If COVID continues rising then we will be working from home anyways so we are not worried about what happens beyond Jan. I was expecting that schools would not open till March 2022...so I am mentally prepared. One family member had J&J vaccine so we will see if they can get the pfizer booster shot. Maybe time to get addtional booster shots too.... |

This is what Alberta is doing. No masks, nor isolation for those that test positive. They are saying their hospital can handle the load. I don't know what to think about it, but a year and a half of lockdowns in Canada did not work. It scared the population out of their minds, my friend won't hand out inside, eat on a patio for fear of covid! Vaccinated with Moderna all in her family.
But she gave me a bowl of strawberries she cut! So I guess she is only worried about me infecting her? I am also fully vaccainted. I suspect elections are looming and people, even timid Canadians had enough. Though, their enough has no limits, tbh! https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-coronavirus-update-alberta-drops-isolation-rules-for-those-who-test/ https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/doctors-express-outrage-over-alberta-s-plan-to-eliminate-covid-19-quarantine-rules-1.5528114 |
WTF? If you are symptomatic you need to stay away from other people or you can spread it. Full stop. |
I agree. |
I tend to agree with this. And yes I am pro-vax, but putting the burdon on everyone, endlessly, helps no one. And I certainly hope <12 kids can get their shots soon, and hope their families do what they need to protect themselves. But the rest of us should be allowed to go on. |
| typo^ burden not burdon, obviously |
I also agree. It's just a mild cold if you got vaccinated. If you didn't get vaccinated then that's on you. Let the Delta variant spread faster and burn out I say! |
