Emory (I'll take my bow now). |
My DD is a mech engineer at WashU and has had a great experience so I would keep it on your list. |
+1 LMAO |
Cornell Engineering |
Rice has a strong mechanical engineering program, esp. for students interested in crossover with bioengineering. DS graduated in 2018 and I don't remember what his HS stats were, but if your DS is in the range for Chicago and Wash U as reaches, I would think Rice would also fall into that category for him, so worth a try. |
I would go to a state school where he gets merit aid. Clemson, VA Tech or GA Tech. |
CNU |
If you're ok with going down south, UT-Austin and Texas A&M both have excellent programs. |
Not with those stats....OP should be looking at a better school than CNU. He can get into a lot of great schools with those stats! |
If you were originally looking at WUSTL, why not Northwestern? They have a top ranked mech E program. |
^Yeah surprised no one has said Northwestern yet looking at stats and list of schools, seems like a very natural alternative. |
+1, DD graduated CS last year from UVA, got 6-7 offers over 100k. DS graduating this year with 2 offers so far and has already accepted one, both also over 100k |
Penn, Tufts, Swarthmore, Harvey Mudd, Lehigh, Lafayette |
Physics = mechanical engineering. Same thing, how can the schools be so different? |
Carnegie Mellon
WashU Harvey Mudd Michigan Berkeley Purdue |
